The defense plays the games they're scheduled to play, so you can't punish them for having great numbers vs mediocre competition.

Having seen both of your teams play UK, Florida has the better defense and it hinges on the disruption that line can cause with Bullard and Co.

That doesn't mean Mizzou has a bad defense though. It's not mutually exclusive.

Which is what I'm saying. I never said Mizzou has a better defense than UF, but to discount Mizzou's defense because of the teams they've played is silly. As I said, it's been one of the most consistently good defenses in the SEC over the last 3 seasons.

What hurt you against UK was Dawson finding the middle of the field with his playcalling. It's been ripe for the picking with someone like Towles now having a 5* recruit at TE with Conrad.

And that's the issue with Florida. They use the hell out of those TEs in the middle of the field. Unless Pinkel and Co. adjusts quite a bit, it could be a similar offensive showing.

ETS: I also don't know that we saw the full scale Grier offense. Later in the game he did a lot of grabbing up under his throwing arm after some hits and it took a little off his throw.

Pretty sure you beat UK by several TDs the last time in Commonwealth too.

How'd that work out this season?

The removal of Muschamp from the picture makes you 100% right.

He was an abject failure that had no understanding of offense or running a team at all.

I like what Mac has done so far but it's a work in progress. We cannot claim to be back just yet. If we beat LSU I'd consider calling us "back".

Muschamp =/= Mac.

There is a huge difference in coaching, atmosphere and well, everything else.

If Muschamp was coaching again this year, we'd have at least 2 losses and maybe 3 annnnnnnnd I'd predict a for sure Miz victory over UF.

Thankfully, Westbrook can't catch and Muschamp Muschamped in the Miz game last year.

If Muschamp was still the coach, I'd expect Mizzou to blow us out by 3 TDs.
