Someone needs to look at how UF, LSU, and Bama have been recruiting.

Also, look at our retention rates for our players. For example (and a Mizzou fan should know these guys well), Mizzou only had to face Todd Gurley for 0 carries total in 2013-2014 while he missed 10 games and Alec Olgetree missed 11 games in 2011-2012. Hard to win big if your best players aren't playing on top of you not recruiting as well as others in the conference.

Some recent threads started by phan:

-how georgia goes after head coaches
-georgia favored vs missouri
-georgia fans are delusional
-georgia from 2008-present

these are all in the last 3 weeks. For being an "SEC fan" this turd sure is obssessed with georgia for some reason...

Filling up team needs is more important than recruiting rankings. See FL's OL and LB situation. Muschamp's recruiting class numbers were decent, but he had no idea how to recruit offensive players, and he left a void in LBs.

Regarding the 08 team for GAg, I think Stafford had all the tools in the world, but he didn't seem to be a leader who would take that step needed to win anything of substance.

stafford and knowshon getting trashed at arch bar thursday before the bama game told me all I need to know about his leadership.

If he had half the leadership qualities of murray he could have been one of the best ever.

I know it was awhile ago, but that team's struggles didn't have shite to do with Matt Stafford or anybody else who played a skill position. By the end of the year we hardly had any linemen left.

Georgia couldn't block anybody with a competent front 7 in 2008.

not to mention year 4 of willie's defense.

Our 08 team had a lot of issues that the media wanted to ignore simply because of the skill players. Lineman dropping week by week and a shite defense kind of mask your skill folks.

But anyways, that's not what this is about. It's about the obssession of a likely teenager who has nothign better to do than stay up at night thinking about us, on his probably 10th or so alter at this point. Pathetic.

Recruiting rankings for UGA

2008: #5
2009: #6
2010: #12
2011: #6
2012: #5
2013: #10
2014: #9
2015: #8

How anyone can defend Richt with those recruiting classes I really have no idea. It blows my mind how UGA has had 8 consecutive top 12 recruiting classes and has......no SEC Championships.

I mean, I get what you're saying. But pretty much every year there were multiple SEC teams with higher recruiting rankings. It doesn't excuse the fact that we have won anything of substance in that period, but it's not like we were an elite recruiting team by SEC standards.

But none of those teams are Missouri which won the east for the last two years. Richt has no excuse for that. He's a nice guy, though, and I hope you keep him forever.

well, last year we beat them 34-0 so I'm not sure what else you want us to do there.

In 13 we went 8-5 so we simply weren't that great while missouri had one of their best teams in school history.

Missouri is 1-3 against richt, including 2 arse beatings. Missouri has nothing to hold over our heads. Ya know in the last 4 years we've both win the east the same amount of times...

Come on, UGA had multiple top 6 classes. You cannot use recruiting as an excuse as to why UGA hasn't won any SEC Championships since 2005.

In 10 years with those kinds of recruits you can't blame anything other then coaching.

the guy you hope we keep forever is 4-4 against your team and 3-2 against your current coach.

Par for the course really...everyone says "I hope richt stays forever!!!!" yet only like 1 school has beat him more than they've lost.

Well let's subtract off our players showers either dismissed or transferred from those years and get our new recruiting rankings. It's probably not great. I mean, right now we're playing giving true freshmen more playing time than any other P5 team in the country save maybe Texas.

compare 4-6 years of recruiting about a 10th ranked class nationally to a 1-3 ranked class over that same period. Then realize those are the teams we're competing against.

It's pretty damn easy to understand.

Yea that game we played this year really showed me you guys are for real.

UGA with a competent coach should not be losing to Tennessee when they are horrible, or USC when they are horrible.

Richt loses to shite teams and gets wrecked by teams with equal talent.

I don't really know what UGA fans expect to change as long as he is coach. It's been 10 years.

You lost to Tennessee and USC last year.

You act like you are losing to Alabama and LSU every season and that's why you can't compete. When you do play them it's not even competitive.

we were better than missouri, which is all that counts on that day.

the rest of your post:

-when missouri lucks up into being competent: "We're awesome! Why won't anyone respect us? Please pay attention! We rule this division now suckers!! Helllooo!?!?

-when you return to the norm and are going to be fighting for bowl eligibility: "yeah, well....hey your team isn't going to win the SEC this year anyway so HAHA!"
