This Alabama team as good / tested as that UF team? The answer is no and it took a Reilly Cooper shirt grab for them to score their only touchdown.

A much better measurement is how a club does against teams using their final ranking. If a team is #2 at 3rd game, beaten, and finishes 7-5...does it really matter?

I agree. See Bama being preseason #3 in 2000 and finishing the year 3-8.

Exactly

I'm gonna point out just how shitty Bama's record was against LSU from 2000-2007, as we took 7 of 8 from the Tide including a 27-3 beatdown in 2003

What do all of these facts contribute to Saturdays game?

Not a damn thing.

Isn't that the game where Tebow was returning from the concussion? I seem to remember UF being VERY conservative on offense in that game.

Right. I've kept track of LSU's record against teams in final ranking from 2001 on (for obvious reasons ). No club has as fine a run in those years but:
#1.......1-5
top 5....6-9
top 10...11-16
Teams finish ranked high for a reason.

#1.

So, a 8-5 LSU team went toe to toe with #1 Bama in Death Valley.

And now, at night, a far better LSU team is a 10 pt dog to #1 Bama?

Can't wait.

How is posting a coach's record a flame attempt?

I did not comment on or criticize his record. I thought some people might be interested in his record against #1 ranked teams, since he is playing one this weekend.

Why would this be a flame?

1. Seems like there was a fumble called at the goal line in the 1st qtr that wasn't backed up by any TV angles. And there was a wannabe holding call that negated a 50 yd TD in the 4th qtr. I could be imagining things though.

#1. So it's 1-4 against #1 teams. Not surprising....teams are usually ranked #1 for a reason. Doubt many coaches have even a "good" record vs #1 teams.

Well 1-4 sounds a lot less intimidating than 37-1 or whatever record LSU is claiming is Miles' record in night games at Tiger stadium.

As they say in Dumb and dumber, so you are telling me there is a chance.

This is true, but when Alabama played LSU in 2009, they had only lost one game, which was to Florida. No one knew they were shitty until after the Alabama game.

It gets better for you. 2008 was the game where Jarret Lee threw 4 interceptions. I believe one was a pick six.

You don't remember the epic goalline stand against 5-7 Mississippi St in week 4? Not to mention the box scores of the ULL and Vandy games before that.

We were pretty awful well before the bama game. We actually played really well in the bama game till the 4thQ.

Why would two years following a NC season be considered a dark period for any program not named Auburn?
