He didn't do that because he wanted to be a Tiger. He wanted to represent his state. In the long run, that's what mattered to LF7 and I doubt he ever pays for another meal in Louisiana...in his lifetime. I'll find out...

Plus, he still has more career rushing yards than any player to ever suit up for Alabama.

And yet nothing to show for it.

If we judged successful College football careers on winning national titles 99% of players would be considered failures and played "for nothing".

But to be fair, this thread is more about making fun of you fools who worshipped him since high school.

To be fair, any fan base in the country would have taken his signature and say how good he was going to be on a message board. That shite happens all the time with every highly touted player and some of those guys never even end playing a down much less break school records and lead the entire NCAA in yards per game.

But flame on.

LSU fans trying to defend him are hilarious. It's not about what you could have done, it's about what you did do and he didn't do much.

Non-LSU fans with baseless claims that Fournette "didn't do much" are hilarious. In a 3 year college career Fournette holds or shares 15 LSU school records. This isn't the type of career that your average RB or even star player just bangs out. It's mind blowing that a talent like Fournette can acquire the amount of criticism he receives on this board which mainly comes from mindless posters whose hate for LSU fans runs deep.

Couldn't pull off that single season rushing record though. That belongs to the real GOAT.

Lol. ONLY because he played 15 games to LF's 12.

Wow is that the most in SEC history in a season?

More than even Herschel Walker. I bet you think Henry was better than him too right?

If Henry got to play the two worst rushing defenses in the country, plus USCe, 79th ranked Syracuse and WKU he would have had even more yards.

Right behind Carnell "Cadillac" Williams. Remember when he was going to be the GOAT?

I wonder, out of curiosity, how many in front of him played for 4 years. And, if he had stayed healthy this year, he would have shot way up the list, too. It's a shame it ended like it did.

ETA

Just looked it up....had he finished with 1500 yards by staying healthy this past year and come back next year for another 1500 yards (Both very reasonable since he had 1,900 last year) he would have finished with @1,600 yards putting him in the top 5, with all players above him playing 4 years.

So, yes. I think saying he is a special back is very reasonable.

LSU guys are truly gullible posters. Clearly OP put out a big treble hook with LF7 bait on it fishing for delicious "triggered" fish. You guys actually come out in droves defending a "21 year old kid" honor when truly this is a troll thread. Last time I check you can vote, smoke, and buy alcohol at 21. LF7 didn't live up to the hype you guys posted for years on here, it doesn't matter how many yards he had in x amount of games. He didn't have his best games in the biggest moments. Fun fact 9 other running backs had better numbers against Bama then LF7 the last 3 years.

More yardage in 2 1/2 seasons behind an LSU team that was 24-12 from 20014-2016 than any Alabama running back in their history. Fact.
