Just because the Little Rock Observer and Tupelo Gazette named them National Champions doesn't mean they actually won a National Championship.

AP and the UPI all picked different teams that year

NCAA recognizes 1960 for us. So suck a dick.

Somehow 8 years is more relevant? The only one that truly matters is the 2015 NC. The current one. Don't take moral victories away from this. I mean, three other teams in our CONFERENCE has won more recently than yous. Does this make yours cheaper? Or theirs more important than yours?

Alabama claims the 1941 title when they had but one selector pick them

How do you know that only one picked them. If you're opening it up to random selectors that nobody counts, it's likely dozens picked them.

Some guy named Hogsmoke = everyone?

Just stating a simple fact, I know who voted and for what.

In 1965 they changed when they voted since they had looked like fools the year before. If memory serves correct (yes, I was around then) if the vote would have was at the end of the 1965 season we were #1, undefeated and on a 22 game winning streak. We lost our bowl game to LSu.

So, yes I claim 64.

KICKER #2 (THE FINISHER): The VERY NEXT season AP waited until after the bowls to name its national champion.

Yea and LSU beat us in '65 to deny us a 2nd straight NC. I believe we had a 22? game win streak and finished with the best record in the nation for 2 consecutive seasons, but Alabama was still awarded the trophy for both years....

lol at mention of those with Bama. A better barometer would list championship prior to those listed - some are over fifty years between titles. Not exactly big six worthy.

Replay is a joke. Did you know that Bama's replay positive outcome is low 30s? 0-6 in a championship that they still won. So I'll see your little play and raise you 66%.

Yup. Normally I'd say nah, but if Kentucky is claiming 1950 and Ole Miss claiming 59 and 62, then we're claiming '60.

We were undefeated and beat Texas. Alabama lost to Texas. We da champs. You little bitches outta be glad we gave you Bear Bryant. I think y'all frickers could at least acknowledge our one season of greatness in return for the greatest coach in the history of football, birthed from the loins of our great state. A thank you wouldn't hurt either. And maybe throw us another honorary NC. Would prefer from the 2000's but will settle for late 70's-early 80's.

UK claims 1950? It's based off of 1 selection that didn't exist until 1978.

He wasn't limiting his list to record books. A lot of completely random and useless selectors on that list.
