The more I come to respect Brittany, the less I come to respect the players. The penn state guy, specifically.

Obviously we don't see all of their interactions, but she's nothing but nice, and they only take her seriously 20% of the time--most of the time with both headphones in/on and staring blankly at their phone. The penn state kid couldn't even type his email in during that one 5 minute scene. Meds or not, that kid was awful.

I don't disagree with you about the players. However, as I thought last year I just fell like her role is over the line. I am certainly not accusing her of improprieties. Just that I feel like she crosses lines with them and blurs accountability.

Also, to be clear. She sought other opportunities like she currently has at other schools and none were offered. She started her private business after those option were closed to her.

I definitely agree. She has/had a tough job, but it's not like she was that great at it.

I kept wishing they would just kick a kid out. Say, no, you can't cuss at a professor. You're out of here

I think this would've been a better way to get the message across to the players than having a team of 5 people constantly trying to clean up after their mistakes. I have a hard time believing the Louisville or Penn St. kid passed any classes.

My daughter plays JUCO softball. Some of the drama is crazy. Girls getting kicked off the team for being late over and over, smoking on the team bus. They have a certain number of hours they have to take in order to get their scholarship money. This one chick dropped a class that she needed, then waited too late to get into another class. Coach suspended her from the team. She called home, Daddy came to the school, spoke to some folks and she was allowed into another class and back onto the team.

I'm thinking these JUCO's are more like the wild, wild west.

The desire to win is to high. The Penn State kid should have been sent packing. That DL was strong enough with or without him. It might have sent a message to the rest of them. The RB in season melt was amazing. I can't imagine anyone giving him another chance, but West uga stepped up.

Buddy is still an arse douche. Him coddling that Kam character is fitting since he's his arse douche jr.

Wright seems to attract all the wrong breaks. He caught the bad ankle injury at the worst possible time and has to go to West Georgia. You know Buddy bad mouthed him to recruiters. Kid does have a poor attitude.

Kinda surprised the DL coach stayed. I guess he can sell "I coached troubled D1 caliber recruits and got the most out of em" to attract better jobs. He should be easily coaching for a lower tier D1 school.

Happy the Dakota kid got his 2nd chance. He's by far the most mature out the bunch.

I'm interested in season 3, if there is another. I want to see Buddy take a bad season in the face.

that meltdown was indeed amazing. He at one time had some power 5 offers. You go from that to West Ga within a few months. It was like he was purposely trying to frick up his offers.

There's supposed to be a 3rd seaosn but it has been suggested that it might be at a school other than EMCC

I Think juco is the wild Wild West no matter where you are. It's a big difference just with the organization and resources that bigger schools have to keep tabs on the players.
I work with a guy who played Mississippi juco then at ole miss and also coached in that league for a while and said the show is pretty accurate of the entire league.

I played juco baseball in Texas and when I tore my UCL, was told that my scholarship was going to be cut because of it and the school wouldn't pay for the tommy John surgery. So I saw how much juco coaches care about the kids

Why did he choose D2 over FBS ULM?

who knows. Maybe ULM pulled their offer as well. He had plenty of time to frick up even more after the season.

That kid and Buddy Stephens really made me dislike them.

Buddy is not truly trying to change himself. He just wants people's opinion of him to change.

Kam Carter has the worst attitude I've seen. His interaction with the DL Coach, great guy btw, and Miss Brittany really pissed me off. I don't wish ill on anyone but damn.

A lot of the issues with these kids are due to their background. Kam Carter didn't even grow up around his own mother. That kid looked depressed and I guarantee you nobody on that campus was qualified to administer proper psychological counseling.

It also seems like Wright fell off the rails when his fiance lost their baby.

Lot of issues beneath the surface with these guys.

Agreed, but aside from being a prick, I don't really see a reason for Buddy to change. Maybe he's saying it and not doing it--but he's doing his job.

You see how every single one of them treat someone that just rolls over and is nice to them (Brittany), and he's the foil character to her coddling nature.

Some of these kids absolutely deserve second chances (Texas Tech kid), but I have no problem with Buddy saying "let's be honest, if they weren't really good at football, they wouldn't be getting a second chance."

It's true, and most of them did everything they could to screw it up

WVU was all over the running back, and that's where the OC Tricket finished his college career. I think he is immature and did not handle the first injury well, but the coaching staff definitely did not follow concussion protocol and put him back in too soon. Then the kid gets a bad ankle sprain and Buddy starts treating him like complete shite. My son was watching it with me and said "I would never play for a guy like that" He is a POS. Heard the QB and Tricket are now at FAU with Kiffin.

Kam Carter reminds me of Ronald Ollie, except Ollie wasn't an a-hole to everyone. But neither of those guys seem to even like playing football. They just know it is a skillset they have that could potentially earn them a job down the road. If their heart isn't in it, it is going to come across as lazy and they'll never be able to do the work that is required of them. Ronald Ollie has just decided to leave Nicholl's State as well and has no offers as of now from any other program. I'd be very surprised if Carter pans out at Pitt either.

There has to be something up with him. he coached under Mike Dubose at Millsaps, they went 11-1 and had a top 25 defense. he then spent a couple of seasons at FBS Jacksonville State and they were really good while he was there. Then he spent one year at Murray State. Why would a guy with D1 experience be relegated to Juco football when it is clear he has D1 aspirations?

I'm not sure the DL coach has D1 aspirations. Especially considering the lower job security
