Lane Kiffins future

Kiffin has matured and rehabilitated and proliferated his reputation under Saban at Alabama. He would probably be a finalist for just about any college gig that comes open. Since he's been at Alabama Kiffin got a divorce and managed to stay out of trouble and thrive in a small college town away from the spotlight and celebrity glitz of some of his previous gigs. Kiffin seems to have made the transition to becoming a man of solid commitment and exceptional talent.
I see Kiffins future in the east - not the west. College football is more popular in the east and southeast in particular. Kiffins maturity will probably lead him to a quality job at a perennial power and one day maybe back at his current address with the Crimson Tide. I expect Kiffin to be a head coach beginning the 2017 season.
Where would you predict Kiffins next coaching stop to be?
Could Kiffin turn down Auburn if Malzahn got fired? The ACC is a sexy place to be right now and Kiffin would put lots of butts in the seats and give real championship hope to places like Wake Forest and NC State. Where do you think Kiffin will be in 2017?

eta - Mark Helfrich is never going to be a great coach at Oregon. Kiffin is one of the guys that could win the recruiting wars and get Oregon a championship defense to go along with all the offensive talent Oregon mines and finally take them to the promised land.
Kiffin has a lot of opportunities in front of him.

Is this a serious question? Of course not. I'd say telling our early enrollees not to go to class so they can bolt town with you to USC would burn those bridges for the rest of life.

I don't think Lane Kiffin will ever be a successful head coach, honestly. I think the whole "maturing" thing is a myth as well. The guy grew up with a silver spoon. His act appears together now because he doesn't have a choice, he isn't the top dog.
He is a brilliant football mind, and a great play caller. He can pick a defense apart. This is a simple game after all, and he has a doctorate in X's and O's. But the guy is a jackass. He's our jackass, but make no mistake about it, he is still a jackass

Maybe, but I think you might be underestimating how badly most SEC administrations want to win. It might take a perfect storm, but I can see UT latching onto Kiffin again if they're desperate to compete. Easier to rebuild bridges than programs.

Well you'd be a fool if you didn't want him recruiting, coaching (in a literal sense) and calling plays.

I absolutely hated hearing Joey Freshwater was hired at Bama. The guy oozed of douche. And while I still think he's a silver spooned, arrogant prick. The guy knows some offense.
He somehow continued to get promoted over his head. He was younger than players he was coaching on the Raiders. It was ridiculous.
But he got ditched at the airport by his dream school. That was a helluva slap in the face.
I'm also pretty sure his wife never lived in Tuscaloosa. It was pretty obvious that something was off. His divorce really isn't surprising.
And while he's tripped over his own dick into success, the guy does know football. Enough so that Saban's cranky arse hired him to run his offense. And he hasn't disappointed. But now he's on year three, with another new Qb about to run things. He's really going to have to show his versatility.
As far a future HC success, he's in the best position possible. He's working for a genius. A coaching legend that will be talked about for decades. If he realizes his past arrogance, and becomes a humblish leader, the guy could go far. He's young, and has no ties. With his love of the spotlight, and his father's Florida connection, I'd be a little surprised if he didn't wait for a big 6 SEC job like Kirby. I doubt he'll take less than a power 5 team that isn't a perennial conference contender.

I read some of Kiffen's tweets, and he still seems pretty childish to me.It is one thing for fans to talk trash to rivals, but another for coaching staff. Holding his hands up before a long td pass, because he likes the match up, is childish as well. I am glad to have him as Bama's oc, but he is still too immature to be a head coach at a major university. USC hired him because they were on probation and nobody else would coach there.(like Mike Shula at Bama). I am not saying he won't get another chance, he is still a young coach,but it might be a while before a big time program would take on chance on him.

Agreed. Occasionally, I think Saban needs to treat him like his last purebred douche, AJ, and spank him on the sidelines. His long-term success depends on him maturing. His personality may be his biggest fault. That's my only hesitation about him potentially being Saban‘s replacement.

He's a turd no doubt but if LSU gets rid of miles in th next couple of years I could see Joey getting a call. His doucheness and feminine skin would fit right in at A&M though
