Please give me one good reason why Henry had 8 carries. I'll wait.

TJ Yeldon was our first string RB and by the time Henry got into the game we were down 31-17. You generally don't run the ball in that situation.

It's one of the reasons I love college football so much -- the Bama rivalry. Although, that comes at the consternation of a LOT of other SEC fans

Too true. Tennessee and Bama are like twin brothers who swear up and down they not only look nothing alike but they're not even related. If one says the sky is blue the other will tell you it's purple. But heaven help anyone who says 'you two can't play together anymore.' It's messed up but it does make things fun.

College football will lose a lot of its luster to me if this ever happens. Getting way off the topic of thread so ill just leave it at that.

I don't know how it looked on TV, but from the stands the play calling looked ridiculous. We were sitting right between the goalposts in 601, and couldn't believe the passes they had AJ throwing almost all night. If OU had had a couple of really good CBs and been willing to gamble there would have been some pick-6's.

Time after time we would split 2 guys way wide. The out side man would always have a DB up close to the line, and he would be the one AJ would throw it to. A lot. And he would get hit immediately. If the DB had been willing to jump the ball...

AJ doesn't get the ball from the middle of the field to the sideline real fast. Go back and watch the game. It wasn't the slot guy crossing or OJ slipping out, it was over and over the WR behind the line on the sideline.

And When Henry came in the game we were 14 down with over 8 minutes and all of our timeouts. There was plenty of time to run the ball. Until OU showed they could have stopped him, I think he should have been more involved.

Of course, there are no rumors of me being hired as OC.

Nussmeier isn't that bad of an OC. He just needs to learn to run the football to win tight games

or that tight ends are also legal receivers. we had a 6'5 TE that runs a 4.5 40 and he was thrown to like once a game

I find it amusing that Nussmeier is getting all the blame for any perceived offensive woes bama may have. Saban controls that football program, from the A.D. to the water boy. Do you honestly think that Saban could not have changed the game plan mid game if he saw any problems? Saban signs off on everything to do with the program. He lost 3 games every yr but one while at LSU and he lost several of those games by HIS offensive play calling. Picture this scenerio: Saban:"I want to run the ball more". Nussmeier: "NO, I am the OC & I call the plays".

Some of y'all are nutso. You lost TWO games and you want to fire the offensive coordinator?

Holy crap. It's madness.

After 2009 I wanted to fire Addazio as OC and UF lost just one game. I want to go back to the Madness.

Hell, LSU fans love John Chavis. Ask Tennessee fans what we think of John Chavis, especially in the 2001 SEC Championship. THAT was entitlement. Chavis wasn't perfect, he didn't always call a great game, but no coach does. No matter how good Saban is (and I genuinely think he's the best), even HE fricks up.

Chavis had his detractors this season, going back to last year. "Third and Chavis" has cost us 3 games over the last two seasons, and he was extremely conservative with our young defense this year. However, I look at the total track record. He is VERY set in his ways, but he has also worked wonders here. I remember what a cluster 2008 was. Two years later, LSU had one of the best defenses in college football. Three years later, them and Bama were 1a and 1b. That can't be overlooked. And it was still very good in 2012. One average year with the tough talent coming around at the end is not anything to lose perspective over.

Danny Sheridan predicted it today on Finebaum. Good or bad move?

How would you Tennessee fans feel?

Dumbest speculation I have ever heard. Sheridan is a moron if he doesnt understand why Kiffin was in T-Town

USC's offense production skyrocketed right after Kiffin got fired.

As an LSU fan, I'd love for Kiffin to go to Alabama. He turns everything he touches to shite.

Only thing Kiffin has done to impress me was the 2009 game he called against Bama. If that Kiffin OC comes to Bama I can live with all that, but just leave the dumb Kiffin in California though. All I care about is getting an OC that understands what committing to run means. That's been one of Bama's biggest offensive problems lately. Maybe having an inexperienced QB will be good for Bama next season, we'll see......

Danny Sheridan once again doesnt know what he is talking about. Kiffin is rumored to be the TE coach. We have an OC.

I would love to see it - we couldn't get any worse, so we're on the rise and I would love to beat Bama and Kiffie repeatedly at the same time

Actually both lines of scrimmage lost us those games. Against Auburn's secondary I thought that we should have passed more.

Of course he could. As a matter of a fact, he supposedly told Nuss he better start running the dang ball more during last year's SECCG at halftime. He even told Tracy Wolfson when she interviewed him after the halftime that they need to focus on running the ball more.
