Me too. There are other draftable juniors.
Who else are yall thinking may go?
I'm still shocked Mosley isn't going. After 1/9 I was just thankful to see the guy walking normally, much less beasting out the way he did this year. I thought he'd be gone for sure after experiencing such a horrible injury.
So who are the guys left yall are worried about?

It isn't equivalent situations and that is the point. UA has some guys who could improve their stock by staying, and Saban is hoping they will. Yes, the team being better is a side effect of that.
You are being delusional now. If it benefits the team, Saban "processes" a guy at any point. He also tries to get them to stay. That is no secret. He is not thinking of what is best for them. He is thinking of what is best for him and the team, which is his job.
I am not being critical. I am just saying that it is different from the recruiting pitch. Are you surprised by this?

Adrian Hubbard reportedly got a third round draft grade and knows that he can impress at the Combine and Bama Pro Day with his athleticism and size. Rumor is he may need the money now. Nothing is certain, I think he'll stay.
Stinson's name was also going around, but I also think he stays.

There isn't a single person on this board who is more realistic about CFB than me. It is a fricking business. I am vocal about that fact.

Best for them can also = best for team. Just because they are one and the same does not lessen the truth for either.

bullshite.

Yep. Coaches tell lies. Again, CFB is a fricking business.

No.

who will be Bama's lockdown CBs next year?

Probably won't have one. Fulton and Geno will be servicable, but inexperienced. Hopefully the light turns on for Belue like it did for Marquis Johnson in year two.

Might not have one next year to be honest. It'll be ok though. Didn't really have one in '08 or '09. Belue, Fulton, and Smith will be solid at CB and our Safeties and LBs should be sick.

Do you know what happened with Chris Garrett? Kid gained a ton of weight, didn't do anything he was supposed to do, had a terrible attitude, thought he was going to be handed the starting job, and didn't want to compete. He transferred to a lower level school and was never heard from again.
I have no problem with getting guys out of the program who are a cancer. When did I said I did? And, why are you disagreeing? This is the way of things in college football. We are in recruiting season and I KNOW that Saban says "Come to Alabama for three years and then go to the NFL. We'll have you ready." Then, when it comes to guys who are actually ready to go, Saban says, "I hope they stay." The goals that he entices the players with when he recruits them are not the goals that he maintains for them once they are in the program.
Is that bad? No. I see his point. I am just saying that it is different.
Calipari is a coach who does the same thing, but Cal is consistent. I love Cal and I love what he is doing. Everyone knows what he is doing from the get-go. I see no problem with it. You go to college to get a job and make money. If a kid can do that after his junior year and not risk injury and go ahead and get paid, you do it. Why a coach would hope that they didn't speaks to the goals that the coach has for his players once they enter his program.

Probably won't have one. Fulton looked sort of lockdown at times, especially in bump and run, but I don't know if he has all of the tools to become a lockdown CB.
Belue showed us a glimpse of what he'll be next year in the first half of the BCSCG. It's not fair to hold his second half against him when almost everyone on D slowed down. He, like all of our first year starters tend to do, relied on his athleticism too much this year and not his eyes. Once he trusts his eyes he'll be one of the better CBs out there. Not a first rounder, but definitely one of the better ones out there.

You don't think that he tells them that it is better for them to come to Alabama than it is to go to LSU? To go to Alabama, they have to leave the state. Maybe he doesn't say that it is better to leave Louisiana than to stay there, per se. But, it is essentially what he is saying - that their better future is in Alabama than it is in Louisiana, which is the opposite of what he said when he was at LSU.

HaHa/LC
DePriest/Mosley at ILB could be the best duo we've had there under Saban. (Ro/Hightower were together, but Mosley/DePriest may play better)
Dickson/Hubbard/Devall at OLB

Did Miles get a raise for getting kids into the league? Is that what LSU pays him to do?

This just gets more and more ridiculous.
Of course, CNS uses the NFL pitch to recruit players. But I guarentee you he doesn't tell everyone of them that he'll have them ready for the NFL after 3 years. You're just talking out your arse now.
