Saban says there may be some other guys toying with idea to turn pro, but he hopes that this is it.

Milliner official too.

No word on Fluker yet, though.

Imagine Lacy and Clowney colliding at full speed.

Saban confirms Fluker is gone too, not surprising.

I can only imagine it because Bama plays SEC East juggernauts like Tennessee, Kentucky, and Mizzou every year.

I think it's a sign of a program's dominance (and fans' confidence) when the first thought isn't "how will we replace him" but "good for him."

Lacy, Milliner, and Fluker seemed like givens to leave. I think it's the right decision for all of them, definitely for Lacy and Milliner.

If it's just those three and nobody else, I'll be pleased.

But on the downside, more screens to Yeldon.

I guess if the rest of the football world can't get SABAN to leave then they'll have to settle for this!

Don't forget:

Yeldon
Fowler
Hart
Drake
Tenpenny
Jones

Have a buddy that coached Yeldon. What sold him on going to Bama is Saban's approach to using his backs. Not everyone knows this but pro teams keep up with the number of carries a college back has. They don't want them to be worn out when they get them because that is the shortest lifespan for an NFL player. Saban told Yeldon if he came to Bama not to expect a lot of carries his first year unless there were injuries. That happened. He told him he likes to add carries as they progress each year and that by the time they're Juniors they'll be ready for the NFL.
