It’s a typical rundown Louisiana town.

LSU is closer to Moss Point than Mississippi State is. Hell, for that matter, so is Auburn.

Stanford (Palo Alto) and the surrounding area shits all over Starkville. It is stupid to even make that shitty take you just did.

My sister went to Stanford and hated it. Sure it’s a nice area if you’re well off but it’s not really college student friendly and housing is sky high. She is in med school in New Orleans and loves it there way more.

There are a lot of reasons why someone could prefer Starkville over the Bay Area. Depends on what you like

The sweet tea at the Stanford Dining Hall is just terrible. He's going to be in heaven.

Hmm. Unless your sister had a family of toddlers and had to get a big apartment, that doesn't sound right. I'm ancient, and when I went you had three years guaranteed campus housing. Soon after I am pretty sure it is four years of on campus housing, precisely because off campus housing is high.

I don't think the Stanford area caters to Stanford undergrads, but its friendly to them. Probably has to do that there is a relatively small percentage of the population that are undergrads in the area, unlike a large state school. The Stanford area is about tech professionals, grad students, think tanks, and then maybe undergrads as a distant fourth.

He’s coming to play Qb for a guy who will make him a top qb draft pick. It’s odd but the smartest move he could make for his future is to move to Starkville MS.....hence why he’s coming.

Probably as importantly, he's leaving a coach who basically puts restraining bolts on all his players and going to play for a coach who, although almost certainly insane, probably gives his QBs a bit more leeway.

My BFF whom I grew up w in Houston (born and raised in The Great State) played softball on scholly for Stanford.
She loved much about the experience, but it wasn’t her jam.

She graduated and then moved to NYC, where she interned (non-paying) for Dave Letterman.
She then got a job with the CBS Morning Show w Paula Zahn and the bald guy (can’t think of his name?).

She wanted to earn her MBA but was homesick as hell for Texas.
So after applying to Harvard, A&M, Yale, UTex, and a few others, she came back home to Texas.
All schools to whom she applied said where you intend to work is where you should do your grad work.
She chose UTex.

She’s now as high in her job as she can be here in Houston—and her company wants her to move internationally.
It won’t happen (she loves Texas).
But she’s grateful for the start that Stanford gave her.
It was just another world and not her tribe.

Mike Leach's most famous quote on the A&M boards is about the "fat little girlfriends"

I was joking a bit. But I did live in Starkville and drive over daily for a project when I was a young engineer.

Probably didn't. That's probably a 4 hour drive. West Point is probably 30 minutes.

In all fairness, he’s said that multiple times to various schools.
He even says it about his own players’ gfs.
I think “fat” has a different meaning to him.

True, there's always been a difference in attitude and lifestyle on the coastal west coast than anywhere else. Now, it's like a different planet out there. Beautiful, but increasingly different.

They can't quite comprehend their own hypocrisy. There was also a lot of promotion that Keytaon Thompson was vastly better than Myles Brennan. I guess that will get put to rest this year as well.

Has Costello made it official?

Let's be fair, this was said with the assumption KT was going to be playing in Dan Mullen's offense, which he was undeniably a perfect fit for. Mullen QB's are runners that can throw, not the other way around, and KT had all the tools to be not only effective but dominant in Mullen's offense.

Let's not forget that KT started his first college football game as a true freshman in the Gator Bowl against Louisville in Lamar Jackson's last College Football game. KT the true frosh went head to head with a senior Heisman and NFL MVP winner, and beat him straight up on paper and on the scoreboard. Also, he did it with our RB coach calling plays from Mullen's playbook as the interim HC.

What was Myles Brennan doing during this time? Nothing. What has he done in the 3 years since? Nothing.

Sure Brennen will have a better career if he can hold on to the starting job all year, but to date he has done nothing. If KT had stayed in Mullen's offense, there is no doubt he would be considered the better QB. KT beat Lamar Jackson as a true freshman with half a staff and interim HC in his first start, then the very next game JoMo was the coach and KT wasn't the right fit and his career was flipped upside down by the idiot JoMo and his genius complex diffEQ formulas playbook.

In short, your comment was ignorant and typical.

I understand and agree, pretty much.

But just a question, have you seen Brennan throw? It's unreal watching the release and spin on the ball. Never seen someone throw that hard with that much spin and with a release like Marino or something.

Brennan got us a td drive in that game against Troy when Danny etling sucked. The problem was, he got a second drive and was lighting them up, until he didn't see the sinking linebacker and threw a pick, was then pulled.

That was as a freshman, then he was injured and red shirted in 2018. This year he relieved burrow in the second half of games. There was enough there to make a highlight video, it can be found on YouTube ,I think. If not its on Lsus website ,I'm sure.

I'd like to know what the opinions of our peers are.
I would put it on here but I never get the link to work.
