247 guys heard it from coaches is my guess. He should announce later today. His last visit was an in home with Leach the day after Washington

Long offseason with state claiming to be a contender now.

That’s a good get though and much more suited for Leach’s offense. Should be fun

Alright cool. Nice pick up.

Costello is talented, but injuries have been a major issue. Wouldn't be shocked if the Pirate turns him into a stud

I'm not sure we make a move in the hierarchy of the SEC West, but I can't imagine how stressed coaches must be having to gameplan for Kylin Hill, Air Raid, and a transfer QB.

Yep. At worst theyll have big upset potential. Imagine going to Starkville and having to defend 60 passes after a physical game vs. LSU

He's a 6'5" 225 type guy with a big arm. He could do some serious damage in Leach's system if he can be accurate enough.

That is a huge pickup for State it appears.

Probably. Though they might give a 2 loss champ the benefit of the doubt. 10-2 Auburn was ranked #2 in the SECCG 2 years ago

That was a joke. Way back in the 2010s, Ole Miss had a series of transfer QBs. And the State guys on this Board were pounding the table about how those never work out. And bragging about how Mullen was a genius at developing quarterbacks. And polishing diamonds. So I was just poking fun back.

Stanford's baseball team and coach couldn't have been more complementary of Starkville and State after last year's Super Regional.

I listened to the Stanford radio feed for the last game. The color guy had a list of 120 things MSU does for baseball that he was going to take back to The Farm.

He was average-below average last year in his 5 starts. In his 2 starts against ranked opponents (one of which is a P5 team), he was 37/74, 319 yards 1 TD and 2 picks. Was pretty good against mediocre-bad opponents but wasn't lights out.

Still probably an upgrade for MSU.

They can't quite comprehend their own hypocrisy. There was also a lot of promotion that Keytaon Thompson was vastly better than Myles Brennan. I guess that will get put to rest this year as well.

Has Costello made it official?

Congrats!!!

Leach is going to pull in great offensive players. He has to allow the Defense to be Ms ST though.

put those 2 together and it could mean a shot at the SECC in a few years.

It's a completely different system...KT isn't made for the Air Raid
