The talk surrounding him reminds me of how they talked about Clowney during his sophomore year.

I would take a once in a generation running back ahead of an OT that might not pan out. Eric Fisher, Luke Joeckel, and Greg Robinson were top two picks and aren't even that good.

Ran over UF for 140 yards last year.
Ran over Ole Miss' for 113 yards last year.
Ran over TAMU for 146 yards last year.
Ran over Notre Dame for 143 yards last year.
Ran over MSU for 156 this year.
Ran over AUB for 228 this year.

Would you say that proves things a skoch?

I really wish they'd tone down the hype just a little, as exciting as it's been this far.

It's bizarre knowing LSU has a legitimate heisman contender on offense, much less a running back good enough to go first overall

He's not even as good as Chubb.

If a team pick Trent Richardson number three Fournett is definitely a number one pick. Not to mention you can't pick up a running back like him in the second or third round, if your team needs a running back and you have the number one pick you take him because of his skill set. It really comes down to your team's needs and who's the top five or six players in that draft.

I'm actually surprised to hear Mel say he thinks he would get a better grade than Nkemdiche. Given Nkemdiche's skills and position, I would have thought Leonard would be at best two.

Kiper also compared Jemarcus Russell to John Elway. We see how that turned out.

I don't like Mel Kiper, but you idiots act like there is someone out there who is amazing at projecting prospects in the draft. It is guess work. You take the best balance of talent, brains, and need on the Board and pray. All rankings are essentially subjective. Reggie White never lifted weights but was the strongest line player during his time in the league. Terrell Suggs had a "bad back" and fell. Dan Marino was too dumb. Ryan Leaf had a better arm than Pey Pey.

i wish people would stop using stop mentioning Russell without knowing the back story.

Russell lost two of the most important father figures in his life within a few weeks. This lead him to go into a spiraling clinical depression. That's why you saw the lack of motivation and weight gain. If you have been through clinical depression, then you would know what lead to his downfall.

Bad example. He was fricking terrible in New Orleans.

Do you not realize the irony of your own statement? The reason RB's don't go #1 is because of guys like Richardson. More importantly it is because if you look at Pro Bowls for the last 20 years they are littered with RB's that weren't #1 picks.

The pecking order of importance is QB, DE/Pass rushing LB, OT. That's just how the NFL works now.

You have people in the national media, that's been following NFL for years. saying there might be five running backs in the NFL right now that's better than Fournett, and he's in his second game as a sophomore. Richerson has never been on that level .So Fournett stays healthy its not a reach to draft him that high. The running back position has lost value but running backs like him don't come around too often so a team will definitely take a chance and reach to get him
