Too soon for a verdict like this. Let's wait until year end

Buga can be played offense or defense. And IMO could play some receiver. Too much value outside of just a RB to pass up.

So not only take an RB #1, play him on defense too. Got it.

I think it would be a huge reach but, I wouldn't go as far as to say you would be an idiot to draft Leonard Fournette any pick/any round. If Gurley was drafted top-15 with a bum knee, LF7 as a top-10 pick isn't unreasonable.

Corrected the OP. He would be HIGHEST RATED prospect. Not necessarily the first pick.

And that's not the same as going #1

This is very true. Gurley could've been top-10 if he hadn't gotten injured. No reason Fournette couldn't either. Sometimes teams simply can't pass up talent like TGIII or LF.

Here is Mel's take on things

I give some of you Couillon's one thing, you grind on anything good for all it's fricking worth. Elite program with a lot of little guy complex fans.

Isn't he just a sophomore? Or is this people thinking he will get a special draft consideration?

Love Fournette very dearly but any GM that takes a RB first overall is a maroon.

Wut? Houston got Mario Williams who Is a monster. He has had a better nfl career than Bush dreamed of.

Definitely a fair assessment. I'd take him in the top 5 if I had a need at running back, and I hate taking running backs early. That's how good this kid could be.

There are a bunch of idiots in this thread. Kiper stated that Fournette would be the best player in the draft, not that he would expect for him to be drafted #1 overall. He might be the most talented player in the country but due to his position there is no way he is the first off the board. You mofos need to learn how to read.

Gurley was top-10, for the record.

Taking a RB with the 1st pick could be a good move if you already had a good o-line and you had picked your QB last year.

Also, a good team having made a trade to receive a future 1st rounder which ended up being the #1 could do it.

Be hard to pass on an Emmitt/Earl/Walter kind of RB if the cupboard had a fair amount of dishes already.

You're right, my mistake. That was supposed to say top-5.

What NFL team fits that mold?
