in vacuum maybe not, but if you're both a) tired of Saban's condescension and b) one of your best friends is the new HC at LSU...i'd say that changes the equation.
Of course right now Alabama is a better place to be than LSU, but let's not act like LSU is Wake Forest or something, either.

But bama's Super Pimp, Finebaum said the honeymoon is over with Saban & he thinks LK is coming. FWIW. Told one of his regular bama callers that he would see him in Atlanta this wkend & tell him off the record what he knows. Vs thinks.Again, FWIW.

I think he'll wait until a good head coach position opens up. That may be the LSU job in a couple of years.
Honestly this alone might be motivation to come to LSU. He's already got a very bad reputation as a head coach, and Saban assistants are proving to be unsuccessful head coaches. If he dominates on offense at another school, it will greatly increase his stock.

Anything for ratings.

I really don't see why he would go. A "relationship" with Orgeron doesn't seem that persu

You are bat shite crazy if you think Saban will ever hand the reigns over to Kiffin. He will handpick his successor and his name is Dabo. Guess what, an old interim coach...how ironic!

If there is anything to the connection between Kiffin and LSU's offer to the QB from Hawaii you will no by Sunday. Saban is not going to put up with that crap. With Bama having their starting QB in place for the next few years it does make since that the number 1 QB recruit in the land would want to go somewhere he could play.If this is not the case coach O is an idiot.

It's in coach O's binder. Done deal. I heard it hear 1st.
Probably the end for Coach Saban and Alabama.

If the new guy comes in and redshirt she would only be behind Hurts for one year.

who the hell redshirts these days that have as much talent as TT? There are true freshman starting all over the country this year. Not saying he is leaving, but I'm sure he doesn't like the thought of not playing QB for close to three straight years after his last game in HS.

Have you ever worked for a shitty boss? If so, there you go you know the reason.

Holy çrap. This has millennial written all over it. Kiffin is a grown up football coach from a coaching family. Promise you he ain't bothered with a little arse chewing.

This is such a joke, how big of a pussy are you?
He's done it once and is this a new thing a head coach chewing out an assistant? I know yall are used to mediocrity and your coach just being blah but ours actually coaches his coaches too. You've seen players get chewed out too huh?
Let's play Devil's advocate here. If Lane did want to leave because of this, that would be more of a reflection on Lane than Saban.
Honestly, he may well have matured under Saban, but such a move would not have surprised me at all four years ago. Tuscaloosa may have reformed Tiffin's image, but has he really changed?
I do not know the answer. But if he left for a lateral move, I would assume his character has not changed much at all.

He said exactly the same thing last year.

The kid is coming to Alabama because UA, unlike LSU, is a perennial contender for national titles, and along with that comes the high profile individual accolades.
If Hurts continues to improve, he'll be at UA 2 more years. Tua would have 3 years as a starter, assuming he's good enough. If he didn't come to Alabama, it would be USC or other west coast program.
Kiffin, by the way, isn't the coach that is recruiting the kid.

but they offered Tua so that def means Kiffin is coming right? Even tho he isn't the one recruiting him.

Some bama fans saying he is going to LSU.
I look at two things. He either is fed up with Saban. Or he wants a diff challenge hoping that it could lead to the coveted job he wants.
People weren't sure how it was going to work out. Now that it has worked there is the whole stigma of it is because of saban. He kept him in line. Maybe wants to prove he doesn't need to be under sabans wing.
I'm just speculating.
