I have not campaigned for Hurts to win the Heisman. Not once.

You call it getting angry, but we call it evaluating facts, and drawing conclusions based on facts. If people get called out for dumb opinions in the process, we apologize.

If I wanted to spend time looking through old posts and linking them, I supposed I could. But I know what I read. There are plenty of people who think Barnett is better. It's not hard to find if you're actually curious. Hell, there are people in this thread saying it.

At the same time, anyone saying that Hurts is a finished product whose game is beyond reproach are out of their minds as well.

I was rooting for BB to be successful at Bama. I thought he looked good in the 7 on 7.

On the field for some reason he played scared. Skittish QB rarely do well.

Bert Jones

I do not remember him but have read he was one of the best passers ever. Unfortunate everyone was running the ball every play.

I saw him lose to Bama at Legion Field.

I've seen people say that Barnett was a better passer (and I think he was), and I saw a lot of people taking that to mean that the person was saying he was a better QB and should be the starter.

That said, it really doesn't matter now. I've supported Hurts as the starter all along, contrary to what many believe. He's the QB, was the best total package when chosen, and has played well, even if his passing hasn't been exactly stellar at times. I DO think Barnett is a very talented passer, and that has nothing to do with my opinion of Hurts.

He is more likely to team up with Smart.

A lot of those people (I'm not saying all) still view the QB position as one that is dominated by pocket passing. In their minds, the guy that throws a prettier ball is the better QB. That's not where we are on offense at this time, though.
