good. Then maybe he can bomb in the pros and come back to coach college at South Carolina. Sound familiar.

You can only hope he leaves before Oct. 11 when your two midget corners are badly abused at Kyle Field.

Sumlin not going anywhere. Don't think the Aggies won't sweeten the pot when we need to.

Doubt it. Jerry Jones is too much of a meddler to attract a coach with other options.

Any team that poaches Sumlin before the 2017 season owes a substantial buyout to A&M.

As for any buyout, what is another $5M to Jerry? It would simply be added to the salary offered.

What's another $5 million for us to stop it? 1% of what we just spent on a stadium to keep it full? Worth it to us.

Eventually Jerry will hit a limit. Not is his pocketbook, but eventually paying $10 million for a coach without any NFL experience just makes him look desperate. And Jerry never wants to seem desperate.

Sumlin is at A&M through 2016, maybe longer. The best chance for us to lose him was USC last offseason.

Deal with it.

Man you cugged that Kool-Aid A&M sold at their last fundraiser for the stadium....

so you think that the DALLAS COWBOYS the most valuable, recognizable and media centric franchise in North America valued at over $2 billion dollars is going to pass a on coach who is respected and loved in there own backyard over $5 million dollars?

As for no experience, Jimmy Johnson had zero experience, Barry Switzer had zero experience....Jerry bought their contracts out and will not blink at the money to buy out Sumlins as well.

Take off your Maroon glasses, and understand that at the end of the day Kevin Sumlin WILL move on the bigger things.

No, I don't think Jerry would pass on a coach for a $5 million buyout. I also don't think we would stop at $5 million if he tried. I think we at least could double that.

I think Jerry CAN'T pay $10 million for a coach (prior to the actual salary) without any NFL experience without becoming the laughing stock of the NFL. Plus Sumlin would pay the tax on that buyout, so Jerry would have to pay him like $10 million a year to make it worthwhile.

$20 million total for a year? Not going to happen.

If Sumlin leaves AFTER 2016 its because he didn't sign the next deal and not because we can't afford to outbid anyone.

USCw thought they could outbid us this offseason too, and the end result is we have a coach making $5 million a year and they have a guy who was mediocre at Washington.

Who knows what coaches go where these days BUT its not that far fetched to believe Mr. Jones didnt have Sumlin in the back of his head for down the road when he wanted to draft Johnny Football

Remind me again why Jimmy Johnson left the Cowboys.

Sumlin is too smart to go there.

IMO, the best choice for Sumlin is to keep doing what he's doing, where he's doing it...at A&M. He's got a good thing going and my guess would be that he's aware of the fact.
