FWIW it's not even a one and done issue for me. It's a give a shite issue. Guys like MKG, Davis, Cousins, and Wall are still some of my favorite UK players. They wanted to be there and wanted to win though.

I'm tired of hearing it's a one and done issue. It's a having pride in your game issue. And it's not exclusive to the "one and dones" on this team.

I thought was last year was worse for ya'll on the "giving a frick about the game" issues. I understand what you are saying, though.

Our women have been fun to watch for awhile under Mitchell. That isn't anything new.

Yeah, I agree to an extent. I enjoyed guys like Wall, Cousins, MKG, Davis, etc.

This team just doesn't seem to get it.

IMO last season suffered from issues with Harrow at PG and Noel's injury obviously. They at least looked like they were going to try to turn a corner right before Noel went down.

ETA: This team simply has no excuse.

These refs suck. Trying to take our seniors out of the game.

Good thing we're sooo deep and UK can't hit free throws.

fair enough, and makes sense.

I'll still pull for my boy, James Young, though

This is why I hate the one and done rule.

Look, I know people like to argue that you're "screwing these kids out of money" by making them go to college, but I don't buy it. Here's why.

Do it like football and require at least three years. This allows time for kids to mature physically and mentally. I believe this cuts down on the chances of busts due to kids getting into the NBA too soon. It also gives kids and parents a chance to decide whether their future is in BBall or whether they need to get their degree to fall back on. The really good kids will still get paid in the NBA. It's not hurting them to get a little education and maturity in the mean-time.

Just MO.

ETA - to Belle, I'm not saying this is UK's issue. This is just why I like to watch the older teams more.

I personally would be fine with the baseball rule. Either go pro after HS or stay 3 yrs.

Oh, and :SlowFlowPro: when it comes to that topic.

UK was bad last season before Nerlens went down. Unless you consider losing to A&M at home and getting blown out by UF (it was a blowout before Nerlens went down) "turning a corner."
