not a fan of the trademarking of a nickname but at least this one isn't something as generic as johnny football.

pretty terrible nickname
It's right up there with Leaders and Legends. Pure genius.

What a dumb sounding nickname.

Dammit. I was hoping this wouldn't catch. I can't stand the word trill

You're in luck, it probably still won't.

Didn't UGK trademark this years ago?
Posted on 9/11/14 at 10:17 am to Korin
Why would UGK have trademarked Kenny Trill

Like the idea of "Kenny Trill" but I think @coachsumlin would agree one good game alone doesn't make you trill. He's on his way though!

The reality is his debut, breaking Manziel's passing record in his first game, on the road, against a top 10 team, that hadn't lost at home in years, was inevitably going to start the nickname machine.
Same as how Jameis Winston became "Famous Jameis" after his first start last year. If you're Kenny Hill, and you are potentially going to be stuck w/ an artificially forced nickname for your football career, I see no problem trying to steer the process to the least bad outcome.
As for the trademark thing, this is going to be SOP going forward.

This. I still don't think it works out though. It's forced. Don't care if he applied for the trademark, might as well.

He said folks called him that already, but it's really neither here nor there.
Agree about the artificial nicknames being generated tho. Anyone remember some trying to force "Mr. Excitement" on Manziel before he went nova?

Still think Honey Badger was the best nickname in years. Maybe decades.

No bias there, right?

Is that some kind of gay metaphor?
