I could point you to a list of articles with Aggies hanging off Allen's nuts. For the most part, they thought Allen had all but wrapped it up.

I think Murray will redshirt. He's only 170 lbs.

No we thought Allen was a damn good QB. He still is and will be. However Hill beat him out. We've known how good Hill is for a year now.

You haven't seen A&M fans hyping Kyle Allen?
Are you out of your fricking mind?

I've never noticed the blonde girl in the background looking like she's gonna step on him.

HILL is Maziel with actually championships under his belt. Be scared. South Lake Carroll high school could give a couple college programs a run for their money.
Eh. Iunno about that Todd Dodge at UNT masterminded arguably the worst team in college football for quite a few seasons in a row.

LOL, Spav / KDS are going to have DCs swimming in their own cortisol. Kenny Hill Is a gamer and the offense will be ridiculous. Now let's see if we can keep Garrett healthy until some other settle in or we could be running the "spectator" defense again.

Nice knowing our backup would start anywhere in the SEC outside of State and Auburn.

Gatorade player of the year beat him for the spot...

IIRC - Predictions were about 70/30 in favor of Hill. It was clear who had actually watched clips if practice. Hill looked sharper/quicker

He is not expected to be Johnny.
He is expected to be Kenny.
He is expected to be Kenny.

So 7-5 instead do 8-4 would be realistic, cause no one replaces the GOAT

Does LSU have a named starter yet? Serious question.

I have been hearing for months that Allen would step in and be better than Manziel without tamu taking a step back.
What a joke.

Honest question -- do y'all think Sumlin will catch lightning in a bottle with Hill the way he did with Manziel? I never really perceived Manziel as being a product of Sumlin's coaching so much as a diamond in the rough that Sumlin was lucky to find. Obviously coaching matters, but I'm not sure how much of Manziel's success TAMU fans attribute to Sumlin's coaching and how much they feel he would have torn it up pretty much anywhere that had a good o-line, ann effective multiple spread system, and a pitbull of a primary receiver.

No, and I think we all think that's a silly question. There will never be another. At least not anytime soon. I do think that either Kenny Hill or Kyle Allen could be very good, particularly under Sumlin's tutelage. But even if A&M has a much better than expected year, the QB won't constantly be on SportsCenter highlights.
