Talking some football with a LSU fan and he claims that Kendell Beckwith will be unquestionably the best MLB in the SEC this year... Since I am an Aggie I obviously have no clue about defense. So was wondering if he is wrong or right. Thoughts?

He also claims "Ed Orgeron coaches the front 7 and Raymond still has the secondary so Steele will have no impact on the defense taking a step back or forward....."

ETA: This is the full quote, this guy is pretty knowledgable so I am simply asking for real feedback about it...

"No Ed Orgeron coaches the front 7 and Raymond still has the secondary so Steele will have no impact on the defense taking a step back or forward.......LSU will be freakishly good on D. Gilmore finally will be apart of that 7 deep DL rotation THAT PLAYED 4 true freshman last year. And 5 count them 5 5* DB's and Kendall Beckwith is easily the best MLB in the SEC. Look for Arden Key to be the next KeKe Mingo on the outside. Jamal Adams is the best safety in conference. Chavis no longer wanted to be in BR because every win and loss fell on him due to the offense inability (Les Miles) to score enough.......LSU has a DEEP WR corps arguably top 4 RB stable of RB in the country, top notch O Line LES MILES NEEDS TO JUST GET OUT OF THE WAY AND LET HIS COACHES COACH AND TAKE THE CREDIT!! Unfortunately for us Tiger faithful that won't happen until he is removed"

I think he would be in the running and it certainly isn't unreasonable for an LSU fan to legitimately think that.

He's top 3 or 2 in the league. Best has to be decided on the field.

I don't know enough about the rest of the SEC to answer, but he's very, very good

You do have to ask why did Welter start at MLB with Beckwith and Kwon Alexander.

Apparently Kwon is going to start at MLB in the NFL but we had him at OLB

Reggie Ragland should also be considered. Their schemes are different, but Ragland is a beast.

Let's put it this way: LSU will need him to be the best if it wants to win 10-11 games this season. Solid front 7, just little depth outside of the interior line

I thin Kendall Beckwith will make the argument he is the best MLB in the SEC. As good if not better than any others.

2. That is kinda load of shite.

Steele coaches the LBs and he is the DC.

How is this in ANY way flaming? It is a legit question that I do not know the answer to...

Almost made it a full page without someone getting off topic... Thanks Wade
