Hence it wasn’t a bench clearing brawl. But it’s progress I guess, we’ve moved from it didn’t happen to it was no big deal. You don’t shove pitchers or QBs and not get a reaction. That’s a basic truth in sports. And his reaction was just words, not a punch, the next batter wasn’t beamed, and yet dude was thrown out. And the Vandy kid was jawing back “what are you going to do about it”.

I guess baby steps are still progress.

Seems like Christian Moore didn’t (or you) if you thought what happened at 1st base was a shove

Do you know what a shove is? Maybe that’s the disconnect.

Funny that 98% of Tennessee fans didn't know you had a baseball team until about 3 yrs ago. Now you're lecturing us on how college baseball is played

They knew, they may have forgotten at times but they knew. On a side note ticket prices are stupid the last three years. I miss those 7 favor 50 deals. 7 tickets to any home game for 50.00. You could use them anyway you wanted outside a couple blackout dates. Now 125.00 a ticket for SEC games and 50-75.00 for midweek games.

It's wild that your pitcher blocked the base path and you're crying about someone running into him.

He was blocking the bag.

I agree 100%. And there was only incidental contact made because he was blocking the bag. I was merely pointing out that even if the pitcher was pushed he was fully capable of retaliating without any help from a teammate. The SoftVols act like there have never been brush back pitches or hit batsmen in baseball, and pitchers somehow need protection. I can't tell you how many times a hit batter goes out to the mound and I've seen pitchers toss their gloves to the side and say "Bring it on!" to the batter.

I have NEVER seen so much attention paid to college baseball than I have on this board.

August can’t get here soon enough.

I agree. It is mainly because so many SoftVol posters come on here claiming National Championships and playoff appearances after their first couple of games, then when they fall apart everybody likes to point it out to them. They'll never learn that "It's better to remain silent and thought a fool, than to speak up and remove all doubt."

Smokey, the first rule of getting out of a hole is to put down the shovel.

College baseball is pretty big in the SEC.

I guess I need remember my audience more. The nuance of sports is beyond anyone that doesn’t understand why dude jawed at the Vandy player.

We all understand exactly what happened.

Your pitcher blocked the base path so there was contact between he and the runner which is on your pitcher.

Your second baseman got offended and threw a tantrum because that's what Tennessee players do.

Now you're here menstruating because that's what Tennessee fans do.

NTY,

Looked like they were just jawing at each other. Nothing to warrant an ejection. If so then there wouldn’t be any basketball players at the end of a game.

The only thing that warranted an ejection was the ump shoving the Tenner player. Maybe they need to look at his actions since he is the only person who laid hands on someone else.

I'm only commenting and re-quoting to emphasize truths...truths that some vols just don't get.

We're not out to get you. You and serraneauxs 14 altars are trying to portray an agenda that simply didn't happen.

Most of us have watched baseball more than or at least as long as you, and the hill you're trying to die on is just flat out the wrong hill.

Your pitcher was in the basepath. He was in the way of a return to first. The runner didn't shove your pitcher. The runner ran to first and pushed his arm out to maintain balance.

And your 2B charged first, then got ejected. I don't agree with the ejection, but your portrayal of the incident is flat out wrong. I think if you took off your orange and white glasses, you might see why 98% of us say exactly that

Yeah, but I don't understand your point in the context of the ejection.

First off, Dollander was the smartest guy on the field. He walked away chuckling. He was not stupid enough to get into it and possibly hurt his team by being ejected and then also miss the next weekend series.

Moore overreacted some, but he's doing what is not unheard of. Stepping in for his pitcher. Where he screwed up was not calming down as soon as the ump started pushing him away from the confrontation. Ump was actually not ejecting him at that point. It was when he kept flailing his arms.

If he's smart, he cools off quickly and then leaves it to his pitcher to brush someone back later, etc. But, don't criticize the Vol pitcher because Moore overplayed his hand in the emotion of the moment.

Moore overreacted, but that doesn't make Dollander some kind of pussy. Lol.

lol firstly...hardly a shove, secondly...if that was covering the bag that was a poor job. thats not how you cover the bag. thirdly...that wasnt his fight, so in the end he looked like a fricking clown.

enjoy your 4 games suspension loser.
