Damn, I must be a dumb frick...my family hit up Orange Beach at least twice/year...silly me.

And to the Bama op fan...I think it was a slap in the face a tad to lessen the arse whipping Bama got last night...

Anyway, I am sure the fine people of Louisiana appreciate you traveling down there and spending your hard earn money.

NOLA smells like a dirty 300 year old port city because that is what it is. It's also a place that has more character, history, culture and signifigance than any other combinations of cities all throughout the South. You mock what you don't understand.

Just as a heads up to everyone. Destin is moving west to Gulf Shores. I went to both last year and I'm getting to the point where I'd rather go to Gulf Shores.

Plus for you beautiful, wonderful smelling Louisianans its a shorter drive.

NOLA is a shithole, but its a shithole that I love. Sure, it has a distinct stinch, but the culture and atmosphere that is second to none.

I've always loved it and will be back.

I used to feel the same way. I LOVED New Orleans since I was a kid visiting with my parents, later as a partying college boy, all the way through taking my wife and kid as an adult, but I have pretty much no desire to go back since Katrina.

I used to believe that nola was dirty, dumpy, and smelly b/c it was old. Then I went to Europe, and visited ancient cities that were neither dirty, dumpy, nor smelly.

I was born in N.O. and grew up in Thibodaux when my folks moved from N.O. in the 60's. The things that made N.O. special are pretty much gone now. I loved it too but the N.O. from back when is gone now. Katrina was an opportunity to rebuild the city better and clean up. Unfortunately, the city is coming back even worse than before. Its sad to witness even from afar. Pathetic politicians and no organized recovery after the storm. Yes, it hurts to hear the wise cracks about my home state and N.O., but the truth is the truth.

One last thing, my nose must not be too good because I dont ever recall going to the city and it smelling bad. Of course, I wasnt hitting Bourbon Street much.

If it wasn't for mardi-gras...no one would give a flip about N.O or Louisanna.
Alabam otoh has very fine beaches and is the founding home for NASA (Marshall Space Flight Center and NASA'a space Camp) and also boasts the 2nd largest Research Park in the US (Huntsville/Redstone Arsenal).
Who would have thought that moonshine could be converted into Rocket Fuel? Pretty damn smart country boys eh?

You can not be that stupid, (and that's saying a lot about "a country boy").

As far as Bama;s inability to make adjustments and reads, and the x's and o's....

you just flat out got your arse kicked from the start of the game to the finish. There was maybe a 4-7 minute stretch of the whole game where i thought there might be a ball game.

And as far as the stench in N.O. goes, it smells like shite there and if you are to naive to notice it, it is because you have your head too far up your own arse.

I go there twice a year....I go to the G.P papermill and end up going home with a year supply of free toiletpaper and paper towels.

Sarah Jessica Parker is not capable of making plays downfield consistently. Why do you think UTAH dared you to do so?

dreaux68,

It stinks in some parts of the French Quarter because tens of thousands of tourists like YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU sway up an down Bourbon Street drinking, vomiting, urinating on peoples' steps, and about anything else you can imagine.
The NATIVES don't do that......

If you would be so kind as to tell me how you can instantaneously clean up that kind of human excrement that treats the city they are visiting like a toilet, please tell me.
BTW, the City and the Quarter have an excellent contract with sanitation companies who are CONSTANTLY cleaning up the mess from YOU PEOPLE.

Also, since you say in another reply on this thread that you have a familiarity with Uptown, the Garden Distict, Lakeview, Downtwon, etc.
How do THEY "stink." ???????????

You are a total derriere orifice. The airport and/or hotel you walked into probably starting stenching up as soon as you brought your filthy arse in and opened up your cesspool Bama mouth.

Awww!! Did I hoit your wittle feeeewings?????
