It has certainly helped that Stewart has started playing to his ability lately. He will have to have a good game for us to have success on offense. Drake too.

This is the game for the West in my opinion, and although I bleed Crimson, I think the advantage lies with LSU. For years I hated them, but I have come to respect them and what they represent and if we lose to them I'm not gonna jump off a cliff. as long as they remain focused and finish it out by beating the rest of the bottom dwellers in our division. Shove a football down Chad Kelly's throat and stop all that noise out of LawyerTown.
The game could go either way, according to which Bama team shows up. I thought they had all of their problems solved but I was a BDS Saturday and they should have beaten TN by double digits, yet our OL looked like a bunch of kids. The LSU DL will have their way with Coker if things don't change before next week.

But what if LF gets his one long run in the first quarter? I can see that happening. He breaks one for 60-80 yards, scores then grinds out another for the rest of the game. I like LSU's chances in that scenario.

I would be much more concerned if Brandon strikes with a long play action TD in the first quarter and LF benefits from our defense being forced to defend the whole field.

Totally agree about Stewart, not so much about Drake. I like Kenyon Drake and he's a nice weapon, but he just doesn't fit any one position very well. Hopefully he helps by having a couple big plays where we can get him the ball in space...or maybe a big return.

The Bama Fan base on game day is awesome

Never one time have I had a issue at a Bama game

Not once !!

I try to post on Bama forums but they have NO LSU fan rules - I understand - some of my Cajun brothers can get a little crazy - hate is the reason

We love to hate on Bama - We love to pull for anyone playing Bama - We love to Beat Bama

We will talk about this game for 2 weeks but we all know already what he game will be about

LF7 rushing and what Bama does to stop him
B Harris and how he handles the game

Coker playing smart and not holding onto the ball
Bama rushing the ball and moving the sticks

I have to say if it comes down to a kicking game again - LSU wins

UGA had Chubb when Bama played them. Shut him down, except for a long garbage TD late.
They had no qb to keep the defense honest.

Always nervous about this game, but I like our chances this year. Pressure on Coker, contain Henry, and cover Ridley are the keys on defense. Tie up Ragland and success in mixing things up key on offense. Minimal penalties and no stupidity on special teams.

LSU pretty much has to play a perfect game, but we have a better chance of doing that this year than in the last 4.

Should be the best game of the year to watch.

kiffin has to call a great game, and I'm not just saying run the ball the whole time. He needs to call play that makes your front 7 pay for being overly aggressive and hopefully slow down your pass rush a bit. I M curious to see how your safety's line up against us.UT put theirs very deep and it stopped out long bombs and limited our offense but the middle of the field was open on a few plays that Coker didn't see.

It's going to be a typical Bama/LSU game with Nick & Les at the helms.

Who makes the least mistakes will win.

Well never fear if LSU can't stop our run Kiffin will be sure to throw it until you can stop our run. Our offensive line actually does a very good job run blocking but Cam had a preseason foot injury and we assume that's why he has trouble with speed rushers when last year he looked great. I don't know if Bama can stop Fournette with the front seven but if they can't and Brandon Harris is completing over half his passes because we have to pull our safeties up to stop the run, LSU will win.

In games like this, expect the unexpected to decide the outcome. What each does well will be neutralized and an unexpected play will determine the outcome.

Was coming here to post nearly the exact same thing.

If Kiffin will just stop trying to be cute and run the ball with Henry, Bama will be in the game until the end.

If he tries to get cute and sling it, he's got about a 50/50 shot with the way our guys have been playing in the secondary this year.

The high percentage play is for both teams to run the rock with their studs and play field position. That's always how these types of games shake out.

I also have the feeling that during one point in the game, CLM will try some gamble that will either work or fail miserably.

I also think it's important not to discount the effect that ST play could have on this game.

It is interesting to me that, so far, it seems like most of the objective LSU and Bama fans ... seem to have some lingering doubt about their team.

Quite simply, both teams have weaknesses that can be exploited. Question is .. which team will do a better job of exploiting those perceived weaknesses.

There should be three fears for LSU fans;

1. Not being able to stop the Bama run game. We haven't really encountered a team with a dedicated power rushing attack.
I'm not saying we can't shut it down but it will be a long day if we can't slow it down.

2. Bama's over the top passing attack. The LSU defensive backfield has been terrible with blown coverages due to mental breakdowns. On nearly every drive, they blow a coverage...it isn't exposed every time but it's happening. In a game where points could be hard to come by, cheap chunks of yards and points off mental break downs could be the swing factor.

3. This is my real fear, what I think will determine the game. Special Teams - LSU has arguably the worst special teams unit in college football. Our kicker has been accurate but we haven't asked much out of him. Outside of that, we are just terrible. It really is pathetic how many short fields we've given opposing teams.

The Florida game could be an indicator of what may happen in the Bama game. Florida almost won the game on our special teams screw ups.

Honestly, I think LSU has the better team v. Bama. It's close but we are really starting to bring things together.

IF the special teams units hold their own against Bama, I think LSU wins.

IF the special teams units continue with the same crap...LSU will lose.

I don't know, he can't sling it all around but we need quick easy slants, and the like to slow down the rush and the run blitzes. If they start keying on the run 100% on first down we will get in to a lot of third and longs and it will be a long day for our offense

Bama will try to hit us over the top 2-3 times. Can our secondary communicate better and be prepared? The fear is real. We can slow down the run if Henry is the back. Drake on outside runs is scary though

Honestly, I think that's when LSU, Miles, and Harris are at their best.

We can't sling it over the top. Cokers release is too slow and/or he doesn't have enough time to set his feet and throw it. We have an elite defense with a very pedestrian offense.
