Well there's a difference in not wanting another power to emerge and actually being afraid one will emerge.

And if any power was going to emerge, A&M has all the resources to do that.

Nothing outside of an anomaly year with Manziel has proven that TAMU football is going to be a powerhouse.

Meh. In the 90s we had an undefeated season, 10 wins half the time, and beat LSU so thoroughly and routinely they quit.

There were clashes with recruiting, and obviously the facilities are top notch-probably up there with Oregon. But the negative press has been just as abundant as of late.

Meh. The State of Texas is capable of producing multiple powers. You can deny that if you want.

.... Buy hey continue to believe... What does facts and realiity have to do with anything these days anyways.

A&M will never recover from 77-0. Any slight uptick the program had before that is gone and will stay gone.

With the current staff in place, I firmly believe the Longhorns have a better shot at resurgence than TAMU. With all the drama surrounding the program, and the fact that you're in the toughest division in football, I just don't see it as long as Sumlin is running the show. I'd change my tune if he were let go and TAMU went after Herman or even an up and coming coordinator.

Also, the 90s are about as irrelevant as my left testicle when it comes to future success. Now you've got TCU and Baylor in state to compete with, and teams like LSU and Bama that routinely raid Texas for talent.

It's a tall task given the current state of the program. Y'all can wish upon a star all you want. But from the outside looking in, you need a new HC. Just my correct opinion.

I'm not even attempting to troll like the rest ITT. I'm just saying what nearly everyone else outside of your fanbase currently thinks. I will say 10 wins this year could right the ship, but your 2017 roster looks depleted as frick.

Even if true in that span LSU accomplished more than your mediocre program has in 120+ (guessing) years of futility.... And more than it ever will.

It's an easier path, but how many half way decent coaches have two straight losing seasons when they are trotting out the better set of players 90% of the time?

Not the biggest Sumlin fan. You might be right. But that sort of validates the concept. A&M has all the resources necessary to be a power, and anyone with half a brain knows it. It just takes the right guy.

Hugh Freeze was a 4th and 25 away from going to Atlanta. If he can get that close at Ole Miss, Herman could at A&M.

2017 will be a rebuild, I agree. Almost a complete rebuild on both sides of the ball.

Meh you're like 15th in all time wins and A&M is like 17th. I consider you a purple and yellow version of Arkansas. Literally nothing more.

They had that 59-0 a few years ago.. That's progress...

You thought all of our transfer in this year were freshman (which doesn't make sense bc they would be at least sophomores).

Then you said Kelly had a "field day" on our defense when he threw 3 Ints and had a QBR of 49.0.

I generally disregard anything football related you say because I don't think you actually follow or watch the sport.

I don't disagree with your assessment on tWhorns players. They are pretty terrible. I do like Strong though.

I've said since 2012 that TAMU made a fantastic move coming to the SEC. But Sumlin reminds me of that rich kid who can't stop getting into trouble, and gets kicked out of an Ivy League school. He has so many advantages, but somehow seems to either take it for granted, or is just overwhelmed by the pressure.

Bama made some shitty hires before Saban, and even offered Rich Rod before Saban. The right coaches are out there. It just feels like y'all are giving Sumlin too many chances. You're the hot blonde with big arse real tits and a 4.0 GPA pre med student. But you're dating a 6th year senior who still lives in the frat house. Time to move on if you don't want him to drag you down.

I like analogies FYI

Umm, you're forgetting one thing: you're aggies. You frick things up. It's what you do. You are Charlie Brown and the rest of the world is Lucy pulling in the football.

For someone who disregards my opinions, you sure seem to have a lot of them engrained.

This coming from the same dude who couldn't comprehend basic math when we were discussing pre Saban LSU. I still think you haven't pieced that one together.
