Pretty much this with the exception of Baylor reverting back to the mean post Briles. They've built a nice program (for Baylor) with nice facilities and an entire town 120% behind them. They can remain relevant with or without Briles. They might dip but they won't go into a freefall.
And I'm not even sure they're 4th best. Taco Tech might have something to say about that.

Baylor and TCU are respected more,nationally, than a&m.
TCU and Baylor have won their conference recently while a&m hasnt won anything of worth since 1998.

Would've been hilarious if ATM stayed in the BIG XII only to see Baylor fly right past them in the South division in 5 short years (as opposed to 60+ year struggle bus) leaving them dead last.
