I like to clown the weirdo always drunk LSU folks as much as the next guy. But I don’t know how a team led by Burrow, Chase, and Jefferson isn’t in the top 2.

Lol Klatt is a clown.

2004 USC didn’t even play the other best team that year. That 04 Auburn team was elite.

USC would've smoked Auburn.

Auburn struggled to beat a mediocre Virginia Tech in their bowl game.

USC fricking raped Oklahoma.

ETA: Look at the SEC West records from that year.

Auburn 12-0
LSU 9-3
Alabama 6-6
Arkansas 5-6
Ole Miss 4-7
Mississippi State 3-8

fricking brutal schedule Auburn played.

Even as a Texas fan, 2019 lsu is easily the greatest team of all time

I'd say he mostly got it right except for the fact 2001 Miami would have overpowered 2004 USC. Other than that I'm not sure I'd pick differently.

the same LSU team that was a dropped easy touchdown away from losing to what turned out to be a mediocre Texas team? That LSU team was loaded on offense but didn't have the Defense to take on most of Klatt's list.

Klatt has a thing for 2005 Texas. He was their QB when we beat Colorado 70-3 in the B12 CG. Left the game with a concussion.

He thinks Ed Reed was going to cover both of them

Absolutely not. Best offense definitely an argument, greatest team no way. That LSU defense isn’t even top ten in LSU history. Same with Bama 2020. Great offense defense was not close to one of Bamas great defenses. Both defenses improved throughout the year but were never really good even.

The defense improved by the end of the season. LSU's final 5 games of 2019 were won by an average of 50-18.

As for 2001 Miami, they played 1 team that was ranked in the top 10 at the time of the game. LSU played 7.

Or if you go by final rankings Miami played:
#8 Nebraska

LSU played:
#2 Clemson
#4 UGA
#6 Florida
#7 OU
#8 Bama

No not that same lsu team. That was the 2nd game if they year. Our defense was playing out of its mind from the Arkansas game through the postseason . Nobody could score more than a td or two on offense against that d at that point in the season. Maybe a garbage td or two against Oklahoma makes it look like they scored on us but that was late

Klatt is always predictable. He was on a one man crusade to promote Ohio State as the best team in the nation in 2019, and was very mad that they didn’t get the 1 seed. I mean, it was clearly personal to him and he was getting in twitter arguments over it. Of course, Ohio Stated didn’t make it to the playoffs and he had egg on his face, which LSU fans were quick to point out. He hates LSU and he hates the SEC in general. Any chance he gets, his passive aggressive nature is obvious.

How does LSU lose if Texas scores another touchdown?

What fricking sense does it make to have the 05 Texas team above 04 USC in the ranking but then have USC winning the hypothetical playoff game?
