Clearly we have no one of Joeckel's caliber at left tackle available. It's not like we have someone related to Bruce Matthews on our offensive line.

Paul "herp derp" Petrino is related to Bobby Petrino.

I was actually at the Bama game, it didn't look like fatigue, it looked like saban was out coached whistle to whistle.

He was, many Bama fans will even admit as much. The crux of their argument is that nobody outcoaches Saban two years in a row, which is a mixture of truth and hubris.

Until he outcoaches Sumlin specifically, why should he get the benefit of the doubt?

Spencer Nealy, all 260 pounds of his average athleticism, was playing the nose for the first time in his life. That guy ripped off Barrett's skull and took a steaming dump in it.

Someone of Jones' supposed caliber had no business being beaten all game by someone like Spencer Nealy. He got mauled the week prior too, albeit by superior talent.

Does anybody still actually think that A&M wouldnt have won had that game been played even one week later?

Manziel didnt even know how to throw a football yet. He was downright scared to throw the ball.

Agreed. Just like last year he will have a visor on making social plans by halfway through the 3rd quarter

No doubt he'll be pulled mid-third quarter again.

Has he ever beaten Sumlin?

He lost to a significantly less talented team with almost no depth at home. This year he'll be on the road against a deeper team more entrenched in their system. Why should he automatically be granted the coaching edge? Because he gave Urban Meyer a good revenge frick four years ago?

I don't EXPECT us to win again, but just assuming Saban will outcoach Sumlin "because he's Nick Saban" is sketchy at best.

Splitting hairs, but he was pulled at the 10 minute mark of the 4th after his "Tecmo Bowl" TD run.

No they aren't. They actually think KS is more than a mediocre coach that lucked into a superstar. It's cute, reminds me of Auburn fans post 2010.

don't know exactly who you're quoting there. How about because he's won 3 of the last four NCs? I'm no Saban fan, but he gets the benefit of the doubt.

I was referencing the idea that I constantly see expressed with regards to Urban Meyer. Saban got him "back" in 2009 after the 2008 title game, and so it only follows that he'll do the same to Sumlin in the minds of many. I dont see the connection. Saban lost to a better team in 2008 at a neutral site, and then won with a better team in 2009. Saban lost to an INFERIOR team, at home, with regards to Sumlin.

He's never beaten Kevin Sumlin. I'd like to see him do it first.

lol ok. How exactly did Bret Bielema luck into a superstar?

FYI, all three of his conference championship teams (something KS would know nothing about, luck can only take you so far) were completely players he recruited.
