Picture quality so bad I nearly went fricking blind watching UF on the road against VU & UK....Dave Neal should have done nothing but wrestling matches at an Iowa farm town. He must have played with that bad monkey of his for 20 yrs. Never ordered pizza if he was on. Him and that fricking ABC clown toad Jack Arute gave me heartburn.

I don't recall LSU, Alabama and Florida for some reason playing the 11:00 JP games

Bluegrass miracle was a JP game.

LSU lost to Ole Miss on JP a week after they beat #1 Florida in 97.

The "game of the week" was ironically usually the worst game of the week.

Ha seriously, every week.

But EVERYBODY will always remember watching those games at the tailgate and listening to the Daves. They were a trainwreck, but thet were our train wreck.

Admit it though, you miss it.
Just like Golden Flake sucks but it just wouldn't be the same without them as a sponsor in the SEC.

I very much miss it. It was the media face of our regional sport, and now it's all gone.

I do miss it. It reminds me of watching good ol back to back Vandy and UK blowouts to end the season. It was terrible yet classic, as you said.

Yeah JP may have had a shite time slot, but they struck gold from time to time. Wasn't the game where Jamie Howard threw like 12 pick-6s to lose to Auburn on JP?

Moo State, Vandy, UK, USC were staples of JP broadcasts back in the day.

I remember the Lorenzen 295 lb UK QB being tackled by UF LB Crowder and spinning him around and big boy threw the desperation pass that was picked...led to UF winning a close one in Lexvegas.

I loved the JP broadcast. Was perfect for early morning football watching.

There was some classics on JP though. Wasn't the Bluegrass Miracle a JP game?

It would be interesting to put together a top ten JP games list.

Dave Rowe's keys to the second half for Ole Miss:

1. Miller Time

2. French Dressing

Our QB back then was Romaro Miller and there was that awful Miller Lite ad campaign of the same name... We had an All American TE named Rufus French so Dave thought that was a pretty cool play on words as well... JP Sports' Marketing Department was never considered cutting edge by any means.
