I asked a simple question, and stated that Alabama will have 2 or 3 opportunities against high caliber teams. Yes Alabama is loaded at skill positions, but the same could said last year about DH2. I'm not saying he's going win or deserve to go. I asked would he get invited if he has similar games in future as in first half of season. Not trying to troll or fap at all.

Good lord you're uninformed

Uninformed for noting that he's not built? Why exactly? He's only a true freshman. He can get bigger. Right now though? He's slight.

He looks a little slight of build as well. I wonder if he can handle a LSU/A&M/Auburn without getting beat to shite.

What are you talking about?

Hurts was a power lifter

In high school, Hurts powerlifted competitively. At his first meet, Hurts squatted 470 pounds and then went into a meet the following week, squatting 500 pounds. According to AL.com, there was no one on Alabama’s roster that squatted more than 555 pounds during the team’s spring testing besides the linemen.

As a junior in high school, Hurts squatted 570 pounds, bench-pressed 275 pounds and dead-lifted 585 pounds all at that same event. Hurts competed in the 198-pound weight class and placed second out of 85 lifters, qualifying for the Texas State powerlifting meet.

He's one of the strongest pound for pound players on the team. Powerlifting champion kinda guy. He'll probably pack on a few pounds, but he ain't "slight" at all.

He was also a competitive shot putter and discuss thrower as well as relay runner.

If Hurts can stop making fresman mistakes he'll definitely go to NY with a good chance to win it in 2017

He's one of the strongest skill players on the team. He'll probably end up looking like Dak before it's all said and done.

Lot of bad throws yesterday and a lot of miscommunication in the passing game. He has a lot of work to do in that regard. we haveto get better at that before we face the rest of the schedule because Aggie, LSU, and AU have legit D's. Wouldn't surprise me if he got an invite this year....good performances against Aggie, LSU, AU and being in the Bama spotlight will get him in the conversation. I think Hurts will win it before he leaves Bama. I said that early on...

66% of his passes are thrown behind the LOS or less than 9 yards down field

but he has a cannon for an arm.

Not really. He has a good, not great, arm. He often underthrows his deep ball and has to load up to drive the ball. His arm is plenty strong enough, but it's not elite.

As far as Heisman talk, let's slow down. However, in another year or so barring injury? Buy the man plane tickets to NYC.

It's a political award to a large degree....because he is leading Bama he will get serious consideration particularly if we are playing for a title.

He's slight of build. Don't be naive. He's a true freshman. This is why gumps can't have rational conversations and have to import the majority of their students from out of state because the home grown population completely lacks intelligence. You can't handle ONE minor critique of one of your players without resorting to classic rationalization.

He doesn't look like Dak at the moment and Myles Garrett is about to destroy him.

How many TDs a game would Lamar Jackson score as QB for Bama? Like would every game be 63-0 at half time ala Vince Young in 2005?

He is statistically better than JT Barrett in everything but passing TDs.

How's the comparison with Lamar?
