Could you imagine the stats chad Kelly would have if he was starting at Bama.

He needs to hit more open receivers before we start this talk. Had a mediocre first half yesterday.

They're high for even mentioning him in the Heisman talk.

He'll be in the top 5 in a few pundit's lists. He plays the highest profile position in America, and he's a true freshman balling out. He definitely has a chance to go to NY if Bama continues to dominate. Just a fact.

In the future maybe, but this year? That's ridiculous.

Only 140 passing yards, 0 TD 1 INT. Not heisman caliber

(but but but his rushing stats!) My grandma could rush for 100 yards and a TD or two against our front 7 in its current state.

I saw him throw more ball to green grass yesterday than I had drinks, he should be a RB and get a QB that can pass. He is not that good.

Right. If Jalen Hurts is invited to NY the Heisman will lose all credibility. It's already lost alot as its become the best skill player on one of the best teams award, but Jalen Hurts isn't anywhere near the best player on his own team. The kid has potential but if he played for anyone but Bama he would look like Jacob Eason with wheels. And don't act like this is a butthurt Auburn fan saying this, bc they're are numerous Alabama fans saying the same thing in this very thread.

Call me old fashioned, but I wouldn't vote for a qb that can't pass.

You know how many QB's in the country would be lighting the world up with Bama's WR/RB/TE/OL combo?

This. Similar to the Dak success on the Cowboys.

How about we watch the rest of the football season and see what happens. That's a pretty ridiculous statement to make in mid October.

Yeah. Hurts is not ready. Maybe next year, or the year after, or maybe even the year after.

He'll probably get invited if Alabama keeps winning. Because Alabama. Hell AJ McCarron was the 2013 runner up with a measly 2,676 passing yards and 26 touchdowns.

Maybe for next year. The passing side he's still learning.

If he continues on his trend, he might win it more than once, but I'm not holding my breath on that.

Meh. Anyone other Winston was simply going as a tribute to career achievements. That rapist was never in any fear of losing the trophy. Though if there was a season AJ should have gone, it was 2012, not 2013. I never figured he should win though. It wasn't a close vote, so it's not like the Heisman race of 2009, where every second/third/etc vote still mattered. This was one where the voters basically said, "the kid keeps winning championships, we should probably bring him in and let him sit in the chair"

His passing needs to improve....a LOT....but he has a cannon for an arm.

Barring injury, Hurts will win a Heisman before is career is done at Bama

He looks a little slight of build as well. I wonder if he can handle a LSU/A&M/Auburn without getting beat to shite.
