The same constituent parts would still face each other, thus symmetrical but not balanced. It doesn't really matter, though.

No one should ever use Soldier Field as an example of character. They made a beautiful stadium a monstrosity in the name of preserving an historical landmark.

North & South are not symmetrical. They're far from a mirror image. They are East and West though.

That's true. Since the South expansion, they are not even close.

LSU isn't a great example because the stadium is relatively symmetrical, but the point was that most stadiums have things you can nitpick regarding symmetry.

Please take buster hymen back with you on the team bus. He can't decide whether he wants to be the Texas A&M AD or the TCU AD.

Sounds like an aTm problem. We're perfectly happy with our AD, thank you very much.

Umm..and are you completely retarded? Like..enough to get disability? Team bus? You seriously think we're taking a BUS from SC to Texas? Meth kills brain cells, bruh...you might wanna stop now.

And we damn sure didn't like sandstorm playing in our stadium.

Again, not my problem. Take it up with your amazing AD..you know...the one you are so incredibly fond of.

Kinda sad that y'all couldn't have an original thought and had to rip off something from another team.

So very original of y'all.

So you're taking cabs to Easterwood? Walking? That's going to take a while, even if it is only 2 miles back to the airport.

We were unaware that y'all had indoctrinated even your football team into the butt plugging lifestyle.

We'll be more prepared this year. You won't be getting near our asses.

We will, however, be spanking the frick outta y'alls.

ETA: Grad, stay outta this. We're finally getting along. Let's keep it that way, mmkay?

Also...y'all really need to check out the post that "Fishfearme" was originally responding to before you become douches.

Grad...here ya go:

quote:

Dr. James A. Peck, a clinical psychologist who specializes in addiction, offers the following lesson in brain chemistry: “Crystal meth forces dopamine and norepinephrine to be blasted through the brain, so when you stop using meth, there’s a definite effect on your brain, which creates the anhedonia. The jury is still out as to whether it is permanent. We do have P.E.T. scan studies showing that for some users, it takes up to two years for the brain function to return to where it was prior to the meth use.” But Peck has seen cases where the damage has been permanent. “Part of this has to do with what these drugs are composed of,” he says. “Meth is cooked up from a bunch of toxic chemicals.”

Half a billion for that? Looks like a child pieced legos together.

Sure, many college stadiums are asymmetrical. That's because they were built in the 1930's and added on piece by piece ever 20 years or so.

When you dump $500 million into something all at once, you expect it to flow. To look like it goes together.

Baylor spent $250 million on their new stadium and, while smaller, it looks 100x better than Kyle Field.

Even the biggest homer posters on the biggest homer message board (TexAgs.com) agree in looks like crap:

quote:

Well this looks odd. Is there not going to be a ribbon board on the west side or maybe it just won't be lined up with the end zone and east side?

quote:

It's not going to align on the rich people side. They don't care though because they'll never see it. Going to look stupid in my opinion. Don't know why they couldn't design the west side to allow the ribbon board to be lined up continuous all the way around.

quote:

What a mess

quote:

Oh my. Too late to tear it down and start from scratch?

quote:

I don't know if this has been discussed but I think they could've have made the decks connect on the west side. Seems a little choppy.

quote:

What? Y'all don't like this look? Looks awesome... Said no one...

quote:

Maybe we should have spent $3/4B instead of a paltry $1/2B...

quote:

That looks terrible.

quote:

The other SEC stadiums have ruined my opinion of the new Kyle. I don't remember the renderings having those weird corners. Oh well--at least it will be louder!

quote:

I really think we'll regret either not building on west campus or starting from scratch in the current spot. For a half a billion dollar project this wasn't well thought out. It looks like a Frankenstein stadium.

It's a standard cookie-cutter two deck horseshoe that seats 45,000 people, largely indistinguishable from about 10 other FBS stadiums.

You can think Kyle looks bad without resorting to nonsense.
