It's true, UGA's offense was mediocre yesterday

But my biggest concern as a UGA fan would have to be that my Nick Saban disciple of a coach and his NFL DC had no clue what to do defensively. Hugh Freeze could've left the starters in and picked a score and gotten there.

I wish we would have hung 60 on Kirby's defense

UGA doesn't appear to have recruited poorly. What's up, Dawgs?

The answer to your question is not one that Georgia fans will give you

Only answer you will get on here is it's George Bush and Mark Richts fault.

As much as I hate to defend to Georgia, it is year 1. Even when there is a lot of talent, it can take sometime for the players and coaches to adjust to each other, especially if there is a new scheme.

Not sure how much scheme affects inability to penetrate. I'm thinking some of Mark Richt's big recruits maybe weren't so big.

One factor is the 2013 recruiting class

Stars and rankings wise, we haven't recruited poorly but Richt failed to address team needs. A lot of the stars he did recruit are no longer on the team. Our defensive backfield is 1 4-star recruit, 3 3-star recruits, and a walk-on. We start a 5-star at OLB who has been the definition of a bust, and our DL is critically thin depth-wise. We are not good along our offensive front and we lack explosive athletes on the outside at WR. We are strong/somewhat strong at QB, RB, TE, and ILB... That's about it, and we're thin at QB and ILB. Simply put, this is probably the worst roster we've had in a long time.
