Seen a few early polls and the aTm seems to be a prevailing fave as NC contender... some analyst have aTm at #1 or #2 i'm telling you aggies be careful it's a setup... the same one they usually have with the Arky's, ole misses and USCe's of the world..

there is NO WAY aTm will be able to survive with that ridiculous target they now have on their back.. they lose 3 of their top 4 wrs.. a very good center and OT.

They lose half their 2ndary and LB crew and a sometimes gamechanging DE who often looked like he had no help.

Anyway I was just thinking if they were setting up the Aggies for a fall...? yeah I know they got JFF but it seems like a stretch to think they have a better year than this past season.

it's not even a good troll. Our offense will be better next year. The defense is the area of concern.

A&M/JFF will be scary good next year - combine that with a MUCH easier schedule in 2013 than 2012, and hopefully A&M will win the SEC West (or more).

So Ole Miss, USCe, and Arky won Heisman's, knocked off Bama(en route to back to back titles) in Tuscaloosa, and then were preseason number one?

As Bama has proved, you do not have to go undefeated, or even win your division, to win the National Title.

they lose 3 of their top 4 wrs..

We keep a really good WR as well.

quote:

a very good center and OT.

We keep a good tackle, and a good guard that is a natural tackle.

They lose half their 2ndary and LB crew and a sometimes gamechanging DE who often looked like he had no help.

Teams lose players all the time. Bama loses half their secondary as well.

If A&M beats Alabama, which they get a Kyle Field, you think A&M will lose TWO along the way? Alabama isn't going to win out? Because at that point a one loss A&M and a one loss Alabama, the SEC West goes to A&M. A&M will have to lose two. Who are the two going to be?

quote:

yeah I know they got JFF

Do you think he is going to get worse or something? He lost to Florida in his first game ever. He wouldn't lose that game if it was at the end of the year, and A&M would have been in ATL instead of Alabama.

Our schedule is easier this year, and it is year two of the system which always marks improvement. Gumps be gumpin.

*Contingent upon Bama seeing a rain shower somewhere in the Gulf and not showing up because of the weather...at least that has been their M.O. on their trips to College Station.

Texas A&M had one good year. No one gives a shite about your homosexual program. You haven't done anything in 15 years.

We had 2 reliable targets and those were the only two with over 50 catches, for comparison last year UH had 4 over 50 catches and another at 44. Not concerned about WR.

a very good center and OT.

Our back up center is also VERY good, and we kept another VERY good OT, the guy who we will mover to RT will be a draft pick. OG is more of an issue than OT for us.

They lose half their 2ndary

We lose a part time starter in Harris but have plenty of CB talent and we lose Steven Terrel who is backed up by Tony Hurd Jr who was always on the field. ... not concerned about secondary any more than any other year ... we just always seem to struggle in that area but the SEC can't exploit it with their offenses.

and LB crew and a sometimes gamechanging DE
The only legitimate point you made. Our only returning LBs with any real experience play the same position. We will be breaking in a new MLB and maybe have 2 new comers starting (maybe only 1. Replacing Moore is going to be hard, but we thought the same when Von Miller left and there was Moore to pick up where he left off. We have at least one other players who was recruited to be that same type of guy coming out of HS, the question is can he (or someone else) step up.

Ole Miss didn't win a Heisman, which isn't a team award, but they did give Florida their only loss in 2008 and had a ton of preseason hype going into the next year. Even got up to 4 in the polls.
