It Seems The FSU Loss Really Affected The OM Fanbase

The last two years, the OM fanbase has really felt great about the potential to beat Alabama. This year, I have talked to dozens of OM fans and not one thinks they will beat Bama.
When I ask why, most say that the FSU loss really exposed the secondary and they have no faith in the offense to score on Bama's D.
Some say that PLUS they feel as though a dark cloud is over the program (NCAA, etc.) and they cannot buy into the program right now.
Are those feelings anecdotal, or does that represent the opinion of most Ole Miss fans?

New players in key positions will have that sort of effect on the fan base.

All the OM fans on the coast are as arrogant as ever.

I can buy this.

You'd think as much as Freeze prays that God wouldn't let them lose to Memphis or let 4th and 25 happen or start this season off with a loss.

I'm from the coast and out of all my OM buddies, only one thinks they'll win this year. Most think it's going to be a blowout.

The only way to answer that will be if Ole Miss allows DE Victor Evans who just suffered a pretty bad concussion to play. One side says no way he can or should play, they other side says they need him and he should be fine.

It's the exact opposite from my buddies. They're all convinced Chad is going to win the heisman and OM is going to win the West.

Define "pretty bad" doc.
He already passed concussion protocol early in the week.

I've seen nothing about a concussion. Is this for real?

I hear ya. Bama never has new players in key positions like QB, RB, C, RT, LG, RG, SS, CB, MLB, DE, or DT. Certainly not all in the same year.

Or maybe we aren't moronic and know that Freeze isn't praying to win games.

Are you being serious? Yes , it was bad enough for him to have help getting him off the field. I found out from OM friends the next day. They said it was pretty bad.

It's a little different when saban is on the sidelines teaching the new guys though

Sounds to me like Freeze thinks he is the "doc" after just finding this...
"The freshman defensive end got banged up against Wofford, but Freeze said he’s “already passed his test” and “should be fine,” though the medical staff hasn’t yet reached a final determination."
Sounds to me like Freeze had already decided he was going to play even if the medical staff had not determined if he was ok to play.
You better hope Victor doesn't get carried off the field during the Alabama game game or you'll never heard the end of it.

There wasn't much to expose. Once Webster went down, we knew we were in deep shite and any coach on FSU's staff would have most certainly known.

Among folks I've talked too, most folks seem to think OM has a good shot with Bama. For some reason, everyone seems more skeptical about Jawga. No clue why. Maybe it is just the group of folks I know, but I'm still learning about Rebel psychology.

Yes. We are fricked if our undersized backup DE doesn't play. He holds all the keys to a W

I guess this is his newest talking point.
Drum up enough smoke saying he has a bad concussion and that way he can start threads saying Freeze played a kid with a serious concussion.
