One of the few pluses to being old: everyone is married already.

Only one I have is for the Friday before the Iron Bowl, I've already sent regrets.

I do. Friggin' dumbass. He's even a big football fan. How can this happen?

No fall weddings planned, but would refuse to attend any that fell on a Saturday. If people want to marry during football season, then I say that man invented courthouses to meet their need.
But I didn't appreciate my wife booking 2 airline tickets for Delaware for Thanksgiving week, she didn't tell me till after the tickets were purchased. Had to watch the Iron Bowl at her Yankee cousin's house, the TV screen size sucked (have a 80 inch/HD at home), and there were a bunch of loud little kids running around. So even though I technically didn't miss a football Saturday, it was the second worst thing to have happen during the season.

My daughter is getting married November 1st (bye week for Bama) in Auburn. It's November 1st because she understands my passion for college football and, more importantly, for Alabama football so she made sure to pick a good date. I raised her right.

I refuse to award someone with my presence if they schedule their wedding on an important football weekend.

All my friends are already hitched thankfully.

frick fall weddings, unless it's on a bye
Just because it's a bye week for your team, doesn't mean it's a bye for your guests' teams.
Fall weddings are selfish.
___ will attend
_X_ hell no

KSU - but I couldn't go when it was moved to a Thursday
LSU - protested, and won! We hadn't seen the bride-to-be in a year
SC - not a wedding, but I got suckered into running the Tough Mudder
A&M - distant cousin's wedding...trying to get out of it but I don't think I'm going to win this one

One of my best friends has his wedding during the Missouri game, but she is in the military and it was the only time. Sucks, but at the very least, I know that is a sure win, haha.

at your age it's weddings, at my age it's funerals. damn people scheduling their funerals during football season.

Yet another advantage to being an old fart that I've read about here. 0 weddings. (Calls up daughter to make sure...) I love this place. The last one was about otherwise reasonable young men shaving their pubes, which I'll never get and really don't want to know about.

There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum — it's breathtaking ... I suggest you try it.

My fiance's cousin is getting married November 1 when we play Tennessee.
We will not be in attendance at the wedding.

I have a couple of rules for attending weddings and they don't change for anyone; family, friends, whatever. I will not under any circumstances got to a wedding for anyone where it costs me anything more than a couple of bucks in gas to attend. I won't go on a significant game day or on a day I otherwise have plans with my wife and kids. I basically hate weddings and shite like that and won't attend at all if I am going to be imposed upon in any way. My friends all understand this and it has never been an issue with them. My mom, brother and sister are another story. They all decided to have weddings out of state when they were broker than shite and couldn't afford it. All asked me to "help" pay for it and I flatly refused. I would say my parents and siblings have ruined weddings for me.

No weddings but quite likely 2 home moves for family buying houses. Not sure what the date of the moves will be but I can only assume the worst since none of my family watches football besides me.

I will say I am more open to friends, family and reall, anyone, needing legit help over fricking weddings. I will not usually refuse anyone that needs a hand with something. I'll just dvr and be done. Those types of things usually fALL outside the scope of scheduling, unlike weddings and shite like that.
