My mom, brother and sister are another story. They all decided to have weddings out of state when they were broker than shite and couldn't afford it. All asked me to "help" pay for it and I flatly refused. I would say my parents and siblings have ruined weddings for me.

this might be the first time I've ever agreed with a bama fan.

I've been married twice, paid for both of them and paid for 3 daughters weddings. i'm done with that shite and the only thing that can get me to another wedding is if it's on the right day and they are having new Orleans style reception. food at nola weddings is incredible; better than restrauants.

Damn, we had our daughter's wedding in NO and it was a smashing success. She had friends there at the time and that was where she wanted to have it. She knew fully well the turnout on our side might be shitty because of my stance on weddings but that wasn't the case at all. We live in Orange Beach so it's not that far of a drive for anyone and it's one of the few weddings I have paid for and really enjoyed.

I don't fake anything... I tell them straight up, if you don't care enough about other people to not schedule your wedding on a football Saturday, then don't expect other people to care much about you.

So who has a dumbass friend or family member that scheduled thier wedding this fall that you will be attending?

Goddam this. My cousin has a wedding in Madison GA the weekend of the AU/USCe game. He is a Georgia fan and scheduled during a UGA off week.

I am honestly threatening not to go to the wedding. I have my priorities and that wedding isnt one.

My brother is the biggest fool though. Years ago he not only got married on Oct 31, but also got married the same saturday as the WLOCP. Some seriously pissed off dawg fans in my family. And he is a UGA grad.

Biggest dumbassery of that though wasnt the football game. its the fact that forever now instead of going out on their anniversary they have to take the kids trick or treating. Morons.
