You always have to remember, that LSU probably has a better player at the position you're watching....DUH.

I wouldn't say top 3 yet, but DAMN he looked good. A future star at Bama. I'm not sure on durability? Time will tell if he's an every down kinda back. But he definitely showed out

This. Plus, as he's getting coached up more he only can get better. There were two or three instances during the game where my dad and I both noticed that if he would have waited on his downfield blockers he could've gotten so many more yards, even a TD on one play. I'm glad we aren't scheduled to play Bama again for a while.

There was a noticeable difference everytime he touched the ball vs. every other back in that game. In no way am I trying to slight the other backs either, he just has the "wow" factor imo

I saw a stat on espn the other day on the "yards before contact" in the bama michigan game. Can someone find that?

maybe we should primarily be praising the oline

No, but I have no doubt he could be.

We know what those two back are. They have ample evidence to say whether or not they are top 3 backs. They are not.

They carried at 5.42 and 6.91 ypc respectively and had 8 and 7 TDs respectively in limited action last year. Both broke over 100 yards in game 1 this season and are at 7.69 and 10.85 ypc respectively.

I'm not saying they are top 3, but their stats are about as impressive as any other RB in the SEC.

Holy shite dude. All Brett was saying is that calling him top 3 might be premature. Yeah, he brought up Blue & Hilliard that have similar stats but he wasn't saying they were even as good as Yeldon. He was just saying it's only been 1 game thus far.

It's not like he said or any other LSU fan said Yeldon wouldn't or didn't have the ability to be top 3. No reason to get all pissy.

I definitely think he's top 3 in the SEC.

Probably....

1. Lacy
2. Yeldon
3. Fowler

But seriously, he's going to be a great RB. As I've mentioned several times, I wasn't very high on him when we signed him. Just looking at his measurables, I didn't think he was built to be a great RB. But then I saw him at the A-day game, and I changed my mind. Not because he put up big numbers in a practice scrimmage, but just because you could see the way he hit the holes and exploded through them, that he's going to be special. Saturday night we saw more of the same.

I don't know that he's even our best RB yet, but I do think he has the most talent.

Will need to see him against a North Texas caliber D before I'm ready to go that far.

Until another Bama RB meets Elvis and John Lennon, fights in a war, exposes a scandal like Watergate, owns a shrimping company, creates an icon like the smiley face, and runs across the nation, it's pretty safe to say who's the best RB Bama produced.

It would at least be a small step up from Michigan's defense, lol.
