We'll see how the Houston guy does but I am not sold on him yet. Hell, Sumlin lit up the score board at Houston. Look at him, now.

Yeah why I hated when all the UT fans kept arguing how we could have had Sumlin instead of Dooley. As if he would have done much better.

People forget Briles is the one who built the foundation that UH's programs success has been riding. Just be a good enough coach to maintain it. Testament to how good of a coach Briles was. I would have liked to see what he could have done in the SEC facing Saban on a regular. Those 2 staring each other down each year would have been interesting. West TX dirt and oil country vs WV coal country.

Oklahoma probably would have if they had asked, because they are a powerhouse. If WVU was in the sixth year of Nick Saban with two national championships under their belts when the SEC went shopping, they might have been a reasonable target.

Also, WVU is not that much of a small market team. While the state itself doesn't have that many people, they are very close to, and have a decent following in, some pretty sizable markets in Ohio,
I heard a talking about this. They was saying, you definitely take Oklahoma and Texas. If those weren't available then you move up the east coast and get VA Tech and UNC since there isn't a SEC school in those 2 states.

Ole Miss theory of the NCAA not touching Alabama is true. Alabama is huge money for the NCAA. The only difference is that I don't cry about it

Alabama nearly got the death penalty 15 years ago for being a repeat violator. Both Saban and Shula had to vacate wins. Let's not act like the NCAA treats them with kid gloves.
