were a&m fans this annoying before they joined the sec?
I believe we all have a better sense of why Horns hate them.

Lord have mercy, I'll be more careful what I wish for next time the SEC expands. I actually WANTED aTm in the SEC!

I respect your opinion, but that's best case scenario IMO. LSU is losing a lot more singificant contributors than the rest of the division. They'll have one of the worst offenses in the division again next year and with all the talent lost on defense, I just don't think they've got a lot of room for error. 5 losses is well within the realm of possibility. Hell it almost happened this year with all that first round talent on D.

You're focusing on the negative and ignoring the positive which is to be expected. I'm not predicting an NC or anything but we bring back a lot more than you think we do. Yeah we lost some guys but everyone lost good players. The offense will be better out of necessity because Les knows he can't lean on the D as much plus our D will never fall off that much as long as we have Chavis and keep recruiting well.

Also we were closer to going undefeated last year than we were to losing 5 games.

Had we been undefeated those last few games you're referring to would not have been close.

I can't imagine where your bitter butthurt is coming from.

As for LSU, I think most reasonable Tiger fans realize next year could be slightly down by their standards. Its a tough schedule and they lose a lot. Predicting anything beyond next season though, who the hell knows.

As for A&M, I feel good about where we are headed but I also know the line for mistakes, injuries, etc is razor thin and can really put you in a tailspin. Fortunately, we have a good schedule where the bumps are not all at once.

Im curious to see what happens with Auburn, Arky, and State. OM will be a good team IMO without a doubt.

Not a ounce of butthurt from me towards aTm. Please tell me why a Bammer would be butthurt over anything right now?

It's the few aTm posters on here, like the OP that wants to know if the "SEC West is about to be impossible?" that's annoying to some of us.

Breaking News: The SEC West has been a freaking buzzsaw for years, just because aTm joined hasn't changed a damn thing.

I see LSU and Auburn as the teams most at risk in the new order of the West. Auburn because of Saban obviously. But LSU has been tredning the wrong direction the last year or so and lost a lot more than the rest of the conference to the draft this year. Plus, they're wedged right between Freeze's Ole Miss and Sumlin's A&M, both blossoming powers, which won't help their out of state recruiting. Should be an interesting year next year IMO.

Its a legitimate question.

6/7 SECw teams will bring in top 20 recruiting classes this year. The west has been hard for sometime, but it very well could be even harder the next couple of years.
Show me where the SECw had 5 teams in the past that could all pull in top 10-15 classes because that could happen as soon as this year.

I'm not some newb to SEC football. I have followed LSU closely since 2001. The year Arkansas was good was the one year that there were three great teams in the West. I think six maybe seven teams expect to be great two years from now.

Trust me. I know the West is a buzz saw, but I also remember the days when the West was weak, and the East thought there should be realignment because it was so tough over there.

Or maybe we look at our great recruiting class, our heisman qb, and our weak schedule next year and see that 10 wins is very attainable
