They are closer than anyone would like to admit. With that said, they could correct that with the right hire.

Not sure they will be able to get who they really want though.

I think Bob has health issues and not Urban Meyer faux health issues. There's just no other explanation that makes any sense to me as to why he quit when he did, and I've read some things that seem to point that direction.

To be fair, Oklahoma is a short trip to TX and play the State Fair. The bigger question - perhaps the OU folks will chime in - is how well they recruit the west coast. Seems in the original realignment discussions in 2010, the PAC move would benefit OU the most.

Can someone confirm or deny this?

Tennessee generally recruits Georgia/Carolinas about like Oklahoma recruits Texas.

You are right, they are probably the best comparison for Tennessee in CFB recruiting wise, though I think Tennessee has a little better home base because of the growth on the Mid-State.
