JF definitely played better than he did against UF simply because the UF game was his very first college FB game.

Watch the first half of that UF and A&M game. A&M controlled the tempo and JFF was doing the same things he did all year runnning and passing. UF's D was easily the best in the country at making 2nd half adjustments like they did against A&M when they completely shut down that offense.

I think Bama is the best team in the country, but UF had a better defense this season.

It's funny I don't remember any Bama fans after that A&M loss and the 2nd half against LSU beating their chests about having the best D in the country.

To be fair, LSU was somewhat aided by Nussmeier's shitty playcalling which obviously carried over to the A&M game.

but to use those three games as proof is kind of silly.

I'm not saying I disagree with you, but what would you use as proof if not performance against common opponents?

Just watched highlights of that 2nd half. I will never understand how Bama pulled that game out. Absolutely none.

The only pass attempted beyond 15 yards the entire game was the throw from Kenric McNeal to Mike Evans for 27 yards.

The TD pass to Kennedy in the Alabama game was 29 yards, just so we're all clear.

Well based on stats ND's defense is better.

First off ND's defense is ranked #1 in the nation giving up 10.3 PPG. LSU's is 8th in the nation giving up 16.5 PPG. You may then say that LSU's played better offenses??? Nope

LSU's 12 opponents offensive PPG average is:
106,118,122,98,99,69,39,14,5,56,62,and FCS Towson who dropped 28 on LSU so i think a fair number to give them would be 100...its frickin FCS. Average offensive ranking with those above teams is 74.

Notre Dames 12 opponents who all happened to be FBS schools:
112,113,104,85,61,50,46,59,64,13,79,81 for an average ranking of 72.

Ok so maybe they're not as talented as LSU's defense?? Every defensive starter for ND was a 4 or 5 star recruit except for one who was a 3 star.

Florida has the best defense in the country. They dont give up big plays. They missed less tackles than any other team in the country. Penalties and poor offense hurt them statistically.

I was shocked too. The one thing most fans didn't know was how hard Saban had been pushing them on the 2 min offense in practice every Thursday. I heard in the post game presser AJ said its brutal every week. That was the difference. The last 2 minutes of the LSU game (both halves) and the UGA game also. We almost pulled it off against TAMU.

I hope they are for that one game so they can kick Bama's arse.
