Prick? Did you intentionally leave that one off? Cheater also comes to mind with recruiting?

Best at talent evaluation and recruiting. Saban knows that and that is why he prefers college. Actually Saban did not turn down Perilloux. Saban said in one of his Bama conferences that he knew Perilloux was going to go to LSU instead of Texas because Perilloux had told Saban while he was at LSU that he was going to switch. I remember being surprised when Saban said that.

He thought RP was a problem case and didn't want him. At least that is what he said in private. And he was right.

Well he needs to get his story straight because he said RP was going to be at LSU if he was the coach there.

Actions speak much louder than words, especially when it comes to "I will not be the next head coach at Alabama" Nick Saban.

If Saban didn't want RP, then why was he inviting him to the LSU campus and meeting with him constantly during the 2004 season? Why would Nick set up an official visit for RP on the last weekend before NSD before he left if he wasn't recruiting him?

I can't begin to tell you how much contact Derrick Dooley (LSU's primary recruiting contact for RP) had with RP during the course of the 2004 season. They talked virtually every single day.

He's one of the best recruiters period, he's a good talent evaluator but not the tops at that area. Very good coach but he is one of the best if not the best game planners. You give Saban a month to plan for a game and it will be very very difficult to beat him. As a game day coach he's average, at times good at times makes bad coaching decisions.

CNS is doing a great job at all of the three IMO and I have no complaints about anything he's doing or done. If a down year is 10 or 11 wins for Bama and a BCSNC every other year or atleast be in the hunt for one, then I am happy with his coaching, recruiting, talent evaluator...etc.

Elite recruiter, program manager, and talent developer. Good talent evaluator. Above average gameday coach.

I think he has always excelled at recruiting and talent evaluation. However, I think he has really improved as a game day coach over the last few years. His time in Miami had an impact on that, IMO.

Hightower started as True freshman lb in the sec. Do you know how rare that is? Hightower and Upshaw were NFL players regardless.

If Saban was the coach at Texas, that program would be unstoppable.

[quote]I hope you're saying this because of what Cal has on offense. If you're saying USCw attracts more recruits via thier name then Bama well that just isn't true. Bama is the top program from a historical stand point, however a lot of recruits don't care about that. This is a what have you done lately generation. [/quote

You are back to being a homer. Yes, Tuscaloosa, Al is a more attractive destination that LA, California. USC is a more attractive school than Bama and any school on the SEC. USC is under sanctions and still #1 in recruiting. You remember how shitty Bama was under sanctions.

Bama is the all-time greates program and its not debatable any more.

bullshite it's definitely debatable. Bama has TWO CONFERENCES TITLES IN 20 years and 4 in just under 30 years. This isn't the 70's.
