the reason why it's not worse is because Tennessee waited too long to fire Fulmer.

It's hard to say that because Tenn won the east in '07 and was 2 bone head Eric Ainge INTs away from winning the SEC that year. '08 the wheels came off. I hate to say it, but Fulmer really didn't do much without David Cutcliffe. The 3 different coaches and staffs in 3 years (and one of them happening to be Dooley) is what fricked Tennessee. Remains to be seen with LSU.

You fire your coach when you become convinced that he cannot get the job done. There's far too much talent on LSU's roster and in the state of LA to accept the recent teams Miles has fielded. During the Auburn game, the announcers were talking about how Dupre might be the next Odell Beckham, greatly underused in college then a star in the NFL.

Miles just hasn't been able to field a complete team. If you waited until he had losing seasons, you might wait forever, simply due to the talent they're able to bring in.

Hearing LSU fans talk about how it is Miles time to go because he can't win a National Championship every other year sounds exactly like Georgia last year and Tennessee a decade ago. LSU will regret losing Les Miles.

Miles is a terrible HC, yet owns the best career win % at LSU plus several other all-time coaching marks at the program. He basically represents the best times that LSU has ever experienced. Now that they are moving on from him, will the program improve as a result, or decline?
