It's not rumored. I saw the video. You don't get like that unless you know your way around the booze cabinet

So you saw a video and that means a man has an addiction problem? You'll need more evidence than that to support such a claim.

I'll be the contrarian and go ahead and blame Bama. Had he not beaten you guys, his head wouldn't have gotten so big-->too much confidence-->too much confidence led him to drink and beat women.

Now he's about to be an out of work backup QB.

Thanks Bama

Is Urban Meyer to blame for Aaron Hernandez's problems? Personal accountability must be taken by these guys.
BTW I am in no way saying Johnny is like Hernandez. Just an example

Kevin Sumlin has a well known drinking problem. Did Johnny see Kevin drinking and still having a successful life and look up to him?

Of course it is Sumlin's fault. This is America and no one is responsible for their own actions.

When one checks themselves into an alcohol/drug rehab program, this is usually a pretty clear indication. Couple that with all of the other trouble he's consistently found himself in and it's more circumstantial but supporting evidence nonetheless. Lastly, if you go to a rehab program and then find yourself unable to prevent yourself from drinking in the future, you've pretty much sealed the deal.

None of this is to say that aTm is at all responsible, simply that it's fairly clear that Johnny has addiction problems.

Leave it to Alabama fans to blame a black man for a white man's problems. Dirty racist.

Maybe you can make a case that A&M´s troubles Being in part to blame on JFF; as they built their false swag around him...good athlete but inmature, coaches lost control, it attracted futurre players with me first mentality... Not absoloute but maybe a case here...

The other way around no... Sumlin can't be blamed for JFF being a trouble maker.

yea but it greatly depends on if "checking in" was your idea or what someone else told you, you HAD TO DO, to keep getting a paycheck, maybe from an NFL organization..

see how that works yet?

Mommy and Daddy Manziel are to blame for raising an entitled turd.

Sumlin and the A&M program are to blame for putting that turd on a pedestal and enforcing his belief that he could do whatever the frick he wanted without any consequences.

The Browns are responsible for overdrafting him and continuing to let him believe he was better than anyone else.

And now Johnny himself is responsible for not taking advantage of all the chances he has been given to turn his shite around.

Lots of people and organizations that should have mudchecked Johnny at some point in the last 5 years bear some responsibility for the mess that is now JFF but now it's all on Johnny to get right.

Sumlin bears a lot of responsibility for how Johnny developed while he was at aTm. But hey, it worked out great for Sumlin, so who really cares if someone's life was ruined. Right?

Some of this has merit but not quite to the hysterical sense you seek. JF was told numerous times to settle down, aTm was about to put a handler on JF when the PARENTS threatened a lawsuit against aTm for possible future damages to his character and draft stock. At that point Sumlin should have suspended JF at his next possible screw up but the way higher ups at TAMU were already going to bat for JF and his pay for signing crap saga. They wouldn't let Sumlin make them look foolish during that process. Plus they had huge donors backing JF and the new stadium was being planned. By that time the season had started and the family handler for JF was gone, aTm was managing him better and things were good. Sumlin does have some responsibility in this matter but it isn't quite to the extent you make it out, out side his addiction problem most of this lay at the feet of his parents. Just go back and read the Wright Thompson portrayal of events.

Still waiting on that 11 January release of information to once and for all destroy any claim we have to our trademark of the 12th Man.

You are responsing to Randolph Duke, a disturbed individual who has attempted and failed spectacularly to disprove every A&M tradition.
