Do we huddle in it?

You could rest your D possibly if you did.

When was the last time an Air Raid team lifted a Crystal football?

Your coach has two recruiting classes to bring in a servicable D?

Wait, I thought we were blaming Manziel for the losses?

Are we moving the goalposts again?

Even if I were to accept your ridiculous notion that a group of second and first year players alone are sufficient to field a serviceable D, the 2012 defensive class has been decimated by injuries. The 2013 class utilizes like 14 players in the defense. Sorry the true freshmen aren't stuffing Yeldon.

And you'll take the best coach in CFB history along with his perennially great defense, too.

In other words, the reason you have rings.

What moving the goalposts?

Y'all are making the excuses for Manziel being careless with the football. To accept his pluses you have to accept his negatives.

Exactly!

No one's said he's a perfect player. Yet for some reason you fault him for not being perfect.

Who said we didn't? It's what makes him exciting to watch, for better or worse.

No I fault him for not doing the little things he is supposed to be doing.

Ok, I guess what we can take from this thread is this:

The OP knows this forum will not call JFF the "best", so he ask for the most "exciting," hoping that we at least will agree that he is that. The responses have not been what he has expected and, of course, the A&M fans hate it . . . again. Blah, blah, blah. Same ole, same ole.

The definition of "exciting" is different to a lot of people. I think Bo Jackson running over people is more exciting, same for Cam Newton. How people feel is how people feel. It is not right or wrong . . . just a feeling.

No, you fault him for not walking in a consistently straight line while traveling uphill carrying an entire team on his back.

Exactly Bham, I mean I find stuff like Biscuit killing Burlein/Pagan killing Mett just as exciting.

Maybe he should have spent the offseason working instead of partying? He has thrown 11 picks that has been my whole point. We would have already pulled a Tanya Harding on any Bama QB with double digit INT's.

Not true at all. I've entertained every legitimate candidate others have mentioned.

I was actually looking for a legitimate conversation.

But the preconceived notion you and others have--as described in your post--prevented that.

I completely agree.

And a post like this, without it's prefatory clause, would've been a fine response to the OP.

You must have a pulled a lot of Tonya Hardings in the past then because y'all have had some shitty fricking QBs

Wow.
He worked his tail off.
The footage of him doing so--not unlike the footage of him visiting the dentist, picking up a piece of trash, and/or walking his dog--is endless.
You seem like a judgmental kind of a guy.

I understand, and you are probably right. But some try to will their feelings on to others - as happens here at times .

We hated JPW and the most INT's he ever threw in a season were 12. Manziel still has three games to go, two against really good secondaries.

He's a far better QB this year, as evinced by the collection of stats, than last year.

Whatever amount of work he put in this offseason was more than sufficient.

He has thrown 11 picks that has been my whole point.

You've made that entirely clear, while eliding over the wealth of greatness attached to those 11 INTs.
quote:

It's a moot point. He's not a Bama QB. Bama doesn't recruit play-makers; it recruits managers.

Who wouldn't recruit a QB that manages the game? You guys are retarded if you say differently.
