The media, due to his off the field hijinks and wealthy family, and A&M fans are the only ones who give a frick about JFF. He will Tebow in the NFL if he is drafted. He will do fine in the CFL.

The OP:
quote:

We've been over the "best ever" debate a thousand times. Let's avoid that again for now.

Your response:
quote:

But top athlete ever belongs to Bo Jackson - hands down the best player I have ever seen.

Not everyone thinks Manziel is the best. Top 5 easily in college football, but not the best to many.

I didn't ask the type of QB you prefer, or whether JFF needs to mature.

"exciting" is overrated, I've seen a lot more "exciting" plays (with much less mistakes) from a rebuilt OL this year but no one talks about them either.

Holy shite, guys.

Is the OP that difficult to comprehend?

I can only remember college games from the early 80s on.

Walker was the best RB I'd seen.
Bo remains the best athlete I've seen.
Sanders has the best cuts ever. I strongly suspect he has an extra two ligaments in each knee.

JFF is in this mix, I just don't know how to quantify the BEST.

Honest answer.

There are plenty who are more "exciting" and, more importantly, won championships. Its just a&m figs who are drooling over him. As stated above, I dont watch your games either fwiw.

I'd think Archie's time at OM would give you some pause. I mean, he was one of the first to play in a fashion similar to JFF. That must have been something to see for the first time, which might service an argument that Archie was even more exciting.

Nobody cares. He's not exciting. He's just one more in a long line of DGAF. If you are the media or an A&M fan I'm sure he's more exciting than shooting bottle rockets out your bottle. Otherwise very meh.

How did I forget about Vick?

Vick in college (when he was healthy) was like nothing I've seen in college...he was in the Big East so he wasn't playing elite programs all the time so maybe that made him that much more fun to watch

No one was close to his talent his RSFr year

Y'all must have forgotten how exciting Reggie Bush was. Every time he touched the ball, you thought he would take it to the house.

I thought about compiling a brief list in the OP.

Reggie definitely came to mind.

I'm interchanging the terminology. Even using EXCITING I still couldn't pick one objectively.

He's the most recent and has a lot of real estate in my mind right now.
