No. Other teams lost for LSU to get there. LSU had nothing to do with that. Voters went down the list to the next team that did not lose. Had one of the 5 teams ranked above LSU won, you would not have been there. Its real easy to see to a non-homer. Earning your way there means that you did not need other teams to lose to get there.
What about Florida in 08? They needed other teams to lose. Do only undefeated titles count?

Even undefeated champs needed someone to lose if they didn't start in the top 2. I guess those title's don't count either.

I actually think last year was an anomaly and another long BCS-less streak is on its way

Well, that's fine. I don't expect non Arkansas fans to be buying into shite. and I don't expect us to return to a BCS game this coming season myself. But we're not just going to return to a .500 club either.

Arkansas will be just fine with or without your blessing.

Just as the difference between say Miles and Nutt is slim

the difference is actually quite huge considering Miles cleans up in recruiting, wins his bowl games, and doesn't have losing seasons. Idiot

I agree - I think y'all will be a solid 8-4/9-3 team as long as Petrino is there, and a tough game

That's how any season that doesn't pit the preseason number one against preseason number two in the National Title game works. LMAO! Jeebus you are dense. LSU had the best resume at the time of selection; if you don't like it, cry some more.

You still didn't answer my question, What team do you support? My guess is one that hasn't sniffed a National title in his lifetime or one that maybe just bought a title.

Nobody is saying that you will.

People around the SEC see you as a competitive program with a good coach that can and will win games and have good years, we just don't see you as an SEC championship caliber program and why should we? You've never done it since you've been here. Not that it's impossible or anything, but you're expecting people to respect you the way they do LSU, Alabama, Florida, ect when you don't have the consistency or the hardware to back it up.

And not just one either, you're going to have to come back and win MULTIPLE SEC championships for people to start looking at your program like that.

Since Arky is on the same level as Bama they should at least return to the Sugar Bowl, right?

Wow you are really stupid. Was Fla sitting there on the last weekend praying that other teams would lose so they can get in the game? No. It was a win and your in situation.

But they still needed help. Why does it matter that the help was needed on the last weekend or not?

You're one of the dumbest posters I've encountered on the SECR, and that's saying something.

You don't think LSU itself has ANYTHING to do with that? Miles record says differently. Putt Nutt at LSU and he see how far behind Miles record he is. Not as far as you would like to believe.

What difference does the particular weekend matter, chief? Are you saying that Florida would have been playing for the title if neither UT, USC, and possibly Boise St. hadn't lost a game?

Also, you haven't told us who was more deserving than LSU to play in 07...

So any team that has been the beneficiary of another team losing should automatically be disqualified? Thanks for clearing that up...

As much as I would love to think that LSU is just naturally a superior program to everyone else in the country, I know that's simply not true. Curley Hallman and Gerry Dinardo are exhibits 1 and 2.

Yes, LSU has a number of advantages. LSU allows a coach to reach their full potential, but it can't literally make a shitty coach a good one.

And the idea of Nutt at LSU is absolutely terrifying.
