LSU does have a recruiting advantage only because LSU is the only big program in that state.

LSU > FLA, but it's not a huge margin. Florida has way too much in state competition though. And many Florida kids play at Alabama and LSU and Georgia. Not to mention the Noles and the Canes.

As far as LSU not being able to contact Herman, I'm pretty sure there are rules forbidding any school contacting another coach while the season is going on. That's why you have an offseason.

LSU should be the better program. THey are not, but they should be.

Dunn graduated from Florida St in 1997
Practically no one recruited Faulk and he ended up at San Diego St.-- left in 1994
Minor left Florida State in 2001. So, if that's the best you got, LSU is doing pretty well, huh?

I used to think Fla was the better job, but now dealing with Miami in recruiting is going to be hell. I'll say Fla is still better, that state is just loaded with talent. I think Ga is a damn good job too, another loaded state.

Lateral move. Okay I get you are a A&M fan but damn I would think you would at least use a little common sense when making bull shite statements like that.

It is but not by much. Also AD is different, for an AD Florida is arguably the best job in the country outside of UCLA or Stanford-- you can realistically compete in tons of sports and still be good at the prestige sports.

Put it this way-- the gap between Bama and everyone else for Football titles? That's the gap between Florida and everyone else for the total program (look at the national rankings or end of year Director's cup standings).

I would say so. Florida does well in a lot of sports, not just football so it has more overall prestige than LSU. Also I would think most coaching prospects would rather live in Florida than Louisiana.
