Many probably already know this,but Company A of the 11th Mississippi regiment also known as the "University Greys" were predominantly University of Mississippi students. During Pickett's/Pettigrew's Charge on July 3, 1863 they suffered 100%casualties. Every single member of Company A was a casualty.
Modern politics aside, I would hope that the University hasn't completely turned their back on what 131 of their students went through 152 years ago, regardless of the politics of war and the modern politics of peace.
